RUDEST customer service!!!

I have been here many times. Like 30+ times and never had any issues.

I came in early the day after Christmas because I wanted a variety of fresh dim sum.

Having that there were shelves filled with food, I needed to ask what was what because nothing is labeled.

Because I have a shellfish allergy I need to be certain I do not accidentally get anything with shellfish in it.

The very first item that I asked and directed the woman to, she snapped at me at started yelling, repeating herself over and over again “ bbq bbq bbq bbq bbq bbq bbq bbq” as if I was deaf. I was a bit confused because she was wearing a mask and I thought what she was saying was a long word for what it was because she kept repeating herself. I could not get a word in myself. When I said okay, she sighed, huffed and puffed and said that I don’t understand and I need to make a selection. She rolled her eyes and directed her attention to the next person in line. Literally skipping over me now. Luckily the next peon in line and everyone else still gave me my time. I chose to not purchase anything.

Instead, I called her out and told her to never speak to any human like that because it is rude and inappropriate. Other customers were baffled by her. She was not expecting me to speak up because her eyes got so big, she stood there and folded her arms. She eventually got so red and embarrassed she ran to the back.

Will never be returning here and it is a shame that this woman thinks talking to someone rudely will gain business of this place.

If you can’t handle the heat, stay out of...

I take my mom to this place at least 3 times a month and all the food is great! But the English is not so good and they can't seem to figure out that if two or more items are the same price and things come in three's here, so if I want two of one item and one of another I should be able to do that, because they are all the same price for three but be warned they will not do that without a fight. Now I was here today and my 86 year-old mom wanted two of this one item in the window, now the items were a dollar 89 each or three for $4 When I told her I wanted two of the dumplings my mom wanted, she told me in very broken English only 3 or 1 I just about flipped my lid so I told her okay give me 1 dumpling then give me another 1 dumpling then she gave me this look which was she didn't look at me again! But I finally got my 2 dumplings for my mom. Looking back its easier to just to order 3!!!! Ha! Ha!!! Can't say enough about the food....

My go-to place for sesame balls - crispy on the outside from the coating of gazillion fine sesame seeds, yet cooked through in its 3/8" thick chewy dough, and more than adequate red bean paste stuffing. Reheats well in the air fryer.

Keep missing out on its Shrimp cheong fun. Will have to wake up early to join its legendary lines someday.

The stuffed green pepper is very good, the stuffed eggplant was too greasy, but the shrimp stuffing was fresh-delicious on both, and easy on the tummy. Egg custard was delicious - tender but evenly COOKED through. Oh its warm soya milk feels good in my tummy (Chinese equivalent of hot chocolate on a cold day?) reminiscent of home and its hawkers on the other side of The Pacific. Not top of the line fare like HarborView Restaurant in SF but very satisfying for something within 15 minutes of home, without need for reservations, dressing up, topping up the...

Following a ramen lunch a few stores down I tried this place because I love me a good egg tart (dan ta) whenever I see a HK Bakery sign. I walked in and it felt like an emporium of dim sum on display. Imagine multiple level plastic display of steamed, fried, baked goodies. You need to speak to your server through the walled case of treats. I also spotted a freezer of buns (baos). The egg tart gets a 3.5 star rating from me because I'm comparing it to the Mountain View Hong Kong Bakery. The egg custard was more white, the crust more thick but less flakey (more dough-ey) and it was cold. I want to try this place again because that shrimp chive pan-fried dumpling with its paper-thin translucent skin and size (like my balled fist) was calling my name. I said, "laters."

The service sucks, if you're not speaking the same language, good luck getting taken care of in a timely manner. I guess when it's the same day in and day out, you're just fed up with customers 😒 The food is still great, been going here since they opened. The prices in the last few months have jumped drastically, and its $15 for a combo box, I remember when it was $8. I still remember that you could also sit and eat inside before Covid. The portions of the dim sum, are huge, and packed full with shrimp, pork or whatever you choose. Overall, I'm still going back here, as the food is fantastic 😋
