I ate here with my friend last night, 12/17. First, the older lady managing the register was extremely rude! At one point I had to ask her why she was angry, after she rudely, and in a loud voice, told my friend where the bathrooms were. The old lady replied semi-nicely that she was not angry. Next, I asked her for an extra plate after we received our food and she rudely said she would have to charge me $1. I told her the plate was not a to-go plate, and she chuckled and said she was just kidding. I informed her I was not amused by her sense of humor. Then, one of the younger guys working there chimed in rudely in support of her. Lastly, the food was definitely too greasy and overly expensive! I ordered the chimichanga and it was mediocre. I didn't even finish my food, and I always do. My friend and I actually ended up at this place by default. We will definitely not return, nor recommend this place! If you want really good food and service, I recommend 3 Hermanos Mexican Grill. I would have gone there, however, I was closer to home, sonwe stopped...
Read moreI used to live around the corner and grew up going here when I was a kid. My parents used to go here before I was born actually, they were one of their first customers. So this is like a childhood staple. I didn't realize how much their prices have gone up. I went to get my mom food, I got her 4 tacos de carne asada and 1 large orange juice and it came out to $31! I understand we can't control the tariffs and small businesses are being impacted, i completely understand. Unfortunately, the tacos were not very good at all. My mom didn't even finish her food and I also tasted it, definitely not the same. I have a soft sport for Abuelos because of how long my family and I have been going , but I am debating whether or not I will go back. I might give it one more chance and order something else. But, there are lots of other taquerias that have decent prices and food quality is...
Read moreI have driven past this place a million times on my way to and from Willow Glen. I finally went there randomly for enchiladas and was pleasantly surprised at how good the place smelled once I walked in,which is a great sign. There are so many choices on the menu but I was craving enchiladas so I stuck to that. I ordered one cheese and the other two were beef Barbacoa. I took the food home, reheated it on an actual plate so that I could really enjoy my food. Oh my goodness,I knew I was in for a treat when even the refried beans that come on the plate tasted as if they were made by an actual Abuela. I tasted Thyme and other herbs inside. Then let's get to the enchiladas, sooo good! Perfect sauce, meat, and cheese ratio. I will...
