Had lunch there today and gave only 1 stars, not for quality of food that was excellent but for cleanliness and sanitary conditions that the workers employed. County regulations require that protection be worn on hands ( plastic gloves ) when handling food in a public restaurant that was not followed as was reported in 2nd review. Also food should never be served on regular dishes or silverware unless there’s a proper regulation dishwasher on site, not dishes washed by cook or workers hands . Silverware had dried food on fork from previous guest and was not properly dried or sanitized, worker observed handling food with bare hands then handling food. Also shopping center had no handicapped parking in violation of ADA act serious violation. Mother uses a walker needs accommodations. My suggestion is that they do away with regular silverware and dishes in place of disposable silverware and dishes, I know adds to landfills but if not then use proper dishwasher with proper sanitation followed. Shopping center also needs to become compliant with Federal...
Read moreThese ladies know what they're doing. The food is delicious. The salsas are my favorite--just enough spiciness for my tastes, although they make my partner break into a sweat (but he still eats with the salsas because they are that good). The beans and rice are both well seasoned and balance each other when eaten together (as they should). The tortillas are more tender and flaky than rubbery (I imagine the slight flakiness comes from love and experience, whereas the rubbery tortillas more common at other places tend to come from apathy and an over-reliance on fat). The service is consistent, friendly, and efficient. This is a staple for me when I'm in San Jose, and if my partner was more into eating Mexican food everyday, I'd come here way more often. But each time I do return to this spot I always know I'm in for a delicious,...
Read more8.8/10 carne asada super burrito. The burrito is filled with fresh onion, cilantro, bell peppers, sour cream, guac, and rice, and beans. A lot of places charge extra to add everything in, and for the price $12, it is definitely worth it for the taste. The burrito is a little small compared to other places (but not terribly small). The tortilla is soft and really adds a nice touch.
I only thought the meat could have just a bit more flavor to it, but I'm just nitpicking here. The woman working were really nice and the food came out in less than 5 minutes during busy lunch hour.
Parking can be a little difficult and if you're not aware it's in this small shopping center you might drive right past it.
I'll definitely be back to try more and if you're looking for really great food for reasonable price,...
