Let's start with selection. Due to Covid they are offering a much smaller menu. We had went there wanting their special the pasta with the muscles, and bread! Unfortunately they were no longer offering the special or serving bread before the meal. I was really looking forward to some bread with olive oil and balsamic vinegar, but not a deal breaker. For the appetizer we ordered calamari, and bruschetta. Drinks we ordered Hinnegan in a bottle, and the spicy mamasita. Main course we ordered the fettechine chicken pasta in a tequila sauce which wasn't on the menu yet, but available our waitress recommend it, and eggplant parmashan lasagna. In hindsight it was probably a good thing they weren't serving bread before the meal I probably wouldn't of had room for the main meal. The calamari and bruschetta came out within minutes, both were well flavored. I love garlic! The calamari was topped with garlic and served with a cocktail sauce,, and garlic dip loved the garlic dip. The bruschetta baguette was crunchy, and topped with fresh tomatoe, and basil just the way I like it. Now for the main course, fettechine chicken pasta with a tequila sauce, the portion was extra large, and the sauce had a great flavor. The eggplant parmashan lasagna wow 👏 hella good my new favorite. The marinara sauce is perfect, tons of eggplant, and cheese how could you go wrong? Both were served within 15min piping hot, and the portions were large. The spicy mamasita on the side was delicious, it packs a punch it's a tad bit spicy, I like spice it was perfect for me. Oh almost forgot, dessert, ordered the brownie topped with french vanilla ice cream perfect way to end the night. Overall I would give them a 10/10 for flavor, customer service, and ambiance. 7/10 for their limited menu, and no bread. Hope they are able to fully recover from the drop in business due to Covid looking forward to their menu expanding, bringing back the specials, and bread! Until then, I'll definitely be...
Read moreWent here for the first time today on a whim with my mother and wife. This is one of those places that uses butcher paper instead of tablecloths and provides every table with a cup of crayons. It's a cute gimmick and always a hit with me. The complimentary bread was impressively flavorless. The rest of the food had great flavor, but was way too greasy. I had to angle the little bread plates beneath the grilled chicken calzone to raise it out of its own pool of oil, which was making it turn soggy and fall apart in my hands. The service was poor. We were not warned that some lunch items were unavailable, which necessitated a bit of last-minute reconsideration. No one checked back on us after serving and we did not receive water refills. After we were done eating, we waited about fifteen minutes and then I went up to ask for boxes and the check, which flustered them. A little too expensive for the quality, in my opinion; we took a pass on the nearly four-dollar fountain sodas. The cost of food for three with no drinks plus a twenty percent tip came out to about fifty-five dollars. Cleanliness was okay,...
Read moreWe were a group of 8 - for birthday dinner. They seated us immediately at the reserved time. The round table seating was convenient for large groups and interacting. The servers were friendly and prompt. We were disappointed by the food. Of course we didn't expect authentic Italian food but some of the food items lacked salt and flavor.
Below are the items we ordered and our reviews: Appetizers: Fried ravioli - it was OK Burrata cheese - it was good, would recommend if never had before
Drinks: Long island tea, Old fashioned were good. Mai Thai was terrible with the fake cherry taste. I could take barely couple of sips
Entrees: Pizzas : Vegetarian, tomato basil, the special Pastas: Fettucini Chicken Tequila: Very bland, felt like they forgot to salt the pasta. The chicken quantity was good. Chicken Fussili: Sauce was too watery and bland again Garlic Shrimp noodles: Again too watery sauce and didn't make much of an impression.
Desserts: Choco lava cake, Tiramisu : Both were good
We spent on average close to $35 per person but the food...
