First of all can I just say, how nice the owner is!!! He makes you just want to order a bagel the way of how attentive he is. He always remembers me and is very patient.
Second, I used to live in the east coast for a few years, and it was hard finding a great bagel place that mimics the same taste and consistency of nyc bagel. The owner is from Long Island so it makes sense that he knows what he’s doing. Every bagel I try always knocks it out of the park.
Three, their coffee is so good. There’s a Starbucks nearby but idk why you would go there when their coffee is superb. I am a coffee snob and drink my coffee black. I am always surprised with their consistency and I heard they even have another business called coffee guys in Morgan hill(will have to try that out later)
Fourth, their salads are amazing. I was running late to work and needed to pick something up quick and they noticed it and made me a salad on the spot and I was able to take something to work.
Fifth, their prices are really good considering the area. Their bagels are around $4-5 with top notch quality. Cream cheese is extra and they have a bagel guy sandwich that starts off at $12 and then you can always add meat or avocado. Their salads range from $6-$9 and they are huge!!!
I can’t say anything bad about them. I would go early as the place is small and gets busy quickly. They accept credit only but usually that isn’t a problem.
Anyways, if you haven’t tried them out, you should. And no they didn’t pay me to post this, I just really love...
Read moreThis poor review is specifically for the terrible customer experience we faced from a person in the store- her name is Geo/Gio. Our 2 bagels were toasted too much today, almost to the point of being burnt. We asked for them to be replaced and instead of replacing them and apologizing for them to be overcooked, she only replaced one bagel. She took away the bagels that were overcooked but didn’t replace the full order and when I asked why she said “you already ate one” which was false. I then asked again for them to be replaced and she refused to cooperate and pretended to not be able to find our tickets.
I’m really disappointed with this terrible customer service.
My family has been loyal customers of Bagel guys for the last 3 years, it had become a Saturday ritual of ours to come to Bagel Guys and get our morning bagels. However due to this experience from Gio I will not be returning again.
What’s worse is that even after confronting this associate in the store, I never got an acknowledgment of the mistake or an apology from her. Just a smug smile. What a shame that such a great bagel place which was associated with amazing memories for me has come down to this poor memory...
Read moreThe breakfast sandwich with the cragel was okay, about the same as some other places I've been. The insides were good but the cragel itself made me just want a regular bagel. I bought a 12 pack of bagels to test out and they were pretty bad to be honest. Kind of styrofoamy and bland. The cream cheese they make is pretty good though.
I consider Noah's to be my middle ground by which I judge things (with House of Bagel being at the very top) and you have to clear the Noah's bar to get me to return and I wouldn't say this quite cleared that bar.
The price is also staggeringly high. My wife and I shared a breakfast sandwich and got my youngest a plain cragel and it was almost $20.
I think what I've mostly learned from this experience is that cragels are overrated and bagels are just better. It seems like a lot of people like their unique flair and it's good that they have something that clearly defines them though. A lot of breakfast places aren't remotely distinctive, so this is a kind of place where you either love it or...
