Visited for the first time, and honestly, it was underwhelming. I’m not sure where the hype or reputation for quality is coming from.
I ordered the chilaquiles which was recommended and supposedly the favorite, which came with eggs, potatoes, and a side of tri-tip. For $25, I expected a better experience. The potatoes weren't cooked as requested and had to be sent back, the eggs weren’t over-easy as ordered, and the chilaquiles were mushy and clearly pre-prepped. I have had these before at other restaurants and they are not completely mushy. Yes, they have sauce on them, but you don't scoop them out of pan that was made hours before and the sauce had completely saturated the chips. If I would have known this is how they make them I would have loved to know up front. Everywhere I have ordered them they are somewhat crispy and warm, but not mush.
The tri-tip add-on was $5.99 and unfortunately, it was dry, cold, and tasted like it had been sitting out — definitely not worth the extra cost.
On a positive note, my wife had the banana French toast, which was actually good.
We spent $75 total for one plate of chilaquiles, a cold tri-tip add-on, the French toast, a coffee, and one mimosa. The issue for me isn’t just the price — it’s that the food didn’t meet basic expectations. Whether the server didn’t get the order right or the kitchen ignored the requests, it didn’t reflect care or quality. If we had two more people, that breakfast could’ve easily hit $150+, and for a cold, rushed meal that hit the table in under 3 minutes and didn’t match what was ordered — that’s just not acceptable.
Maybe that’s standard in San Jose, but for me, it’s not worth it. I know plenty of places where $75 gets you hot, freshly made, and properly cooked meals. I won’t...

Opting for the mushroom toast, I felt that the toast could have been improved with a crunchier texture rather than being overly soft, which made it a bit difficult to cut through. However, the egg whites were delightful, especially with the addition of mushrooms, spinach, and balsamic drizzle! Each toast selection comes with the option to add fruit, country potatoes, or hash browns to your meal. The hash browns were particularly enjoyable, boasting a satisfying crunch, and I added salt, pepper, and ketchup to enhance their flavor.
The staff was incredibly friendly! They diligently refilled our water glasses, apologized for any perceived delays (although there weren't any), and frequently checked in on us to ensure we were enjoying our meal.
Visiting during a bustling Sunday noontime, we were grateful for the option to join the Yelp waitlist in advance, allowing us to secure a spot ahead of our arrival. I highly recommend taking advantage of this feature, as there were many patrons waiting to be seated upon our arrival.
As expected, there was a wait for those without a prior reservation, as all tables, both indoors and outdoors, were occupied. Despite the busy atmosphere and occasional noise, it exuded the typical Sunday brunch vibe.
Overall, while the food may not have been exceptional, it was still enjoyable enough to warrant a visit. This quaint brunch spot offers the convenience of minimal wait times, thanks to the Yelp waitlist feature--a rarity among many brunch...
Read moreAnother great breakfast spot 😋 mmmmmmm loved it! Food was delicious and just the right amount 😀 I tried the 🍖carnitas 🍳skillet since it was the top plate recommended on Google review. The county potatoes 🥔 were delicious and not dried out. Cooked great, nothing to rav about in my opinion. Did have a bite of The Mochajeta & that was phenomenal, presentation was on point! Love the grilled cheese 🧀 gosh I want this plate now!!! Large portion and alot of it is vegetable 🥒 so you don't get too full🫃 Recommend the 🥃 Mezcalita! Fiery 🔥 tasty cocktail 🍹 am definitely coming back to sit at that bar 🍻 The biscuit & gravy side was above subpar. I believe they lightly sprinkle paprika on top of the biscuits and gravy. 🧇Waffle 🧇 was delicious! had great texture, not over powered with sweetness but just the right. I love the bar area, We tried to sit outside but today was way too ❄️ cold 🥶. I know I know, we are in San Jose but it was cold for us bay area folks 😂 😆 I do like the outside heaters but you gotta be right next to em to feel it. Inside was warmer, am sure in the summers it's worth sitting outside. Wait-list is available, they got a good system for waiting. Service was great, didn't take long after ordering which was lovely. Everyone was polite and respectful, no issues. Only 1 thing to point out but nothing you can really do about it(real estate), but only 1 restroom for both guys and girls, so that's a...
