TOGO'S Sandwiches — Restaurant in San Jose

I recently visited Togo's and was extremely disappointed with my experience. The sandwich was dry and lacked flavor, and the bread was stale. The lettuce and tomatoes were wilted and unappetizing. The service was slow and the staff seemed uninterested in providing good customer service. The store was dirty and unkempt. I would not recommend Togo's to anyone and will not be returning. It was a waste of time and money. Overall, Togo's is a poor excuse for a sandwich shop. Furthermore, the prices at Togo's are exorbitant for the lack of quality and quantity of food you receive. I ordered a "large" sandwich and was shocked at how small it was. I left feeling hungry and unsatisfied. The only redeeming quality of my experience was that the sandwich was wrapped in foil which kept it warm. The atmosphere of the store was also uninviting. The lighting was dim, the floors were sticky and it had a strange smell. The seating area was cramped and uncomfortable. I observed several tables with dirty dishes and trash left behind by previous customers, which made me question the cleanliness of the kitchen. I would advise anyone looking for a sandwich to steer clear of Togo's and instead opt for a different sandwich shop where you will receive better quality food and service. I am extremely disappointed with my experience at Togo's and will not be returning. Additionally, the employees at Togo's were not only uninterested in providing good customer service, but they were also rude and unprofessional. I overheard them complaining about their jobs and customers, which made me uncomfortable. I also observed them not washing their hands or wearing gloves while handling food, which is a huge sanitation concern. I also noticed that the menu was very limited and uninspired. They offered a few basic sandwich options and nothing more. I would have appreciated more variety and some innovative sandwich options, but unfortunately, Togo's did not have anything of the sort. In conclusion, Togo's is a poor excuse for a sandwich shop. The food, service, atmosphere, and employee attitude are all lacking. I would not recommend Togo's to anyone and will not be returning. Horrible customer service when I found a piece of gum with black hair in my 9inch pastranami sandwich to go that was cut into 3rds because Me and my children shared the 9inch. they did not want to remake me a sandwich nor give me my money back because I didn’t have a receipt, i only spent 13$ Which I didn’t feel the need to ask for receipt under 50$ and it’s food which I never plan to return, yet I’m on the camera yesterday purchasing the sandwich and again on camera the following day(today) walking in with the Togo’s bag to present the 3rd of the sandwich to the manager on duty who is on their surveillance camera looking at the sandwich and smelt the gum and said everyone denied chewing gum that was on schedule yesterday and it’s against their policy to chew gum during work. I’m disgusted! I don’t know if the person chewing that gum has hepatitis or any disease that can infect me or my children, that was extremely unsanitary and I never experienced that in my life! I completely understand chewing gum is one of their rules but it doesn’t mean everyone listens to their rules and keep in mind me and my children have blonde and brown hair (not black) and I wouldn’t waste my time complaining about a 13$ sandwich let alone complain about a 3rd of the sandwich as if I’m going to make togos go bankrupt or lose out on money. Management at that location is extremely unprofessional and I’m unhappy with how my situation was handled when I would have been completely happy with a simple “I apologize let me remake you a sandwich” or “I apologize let me refund you your 13$“ I’m never going back to that location again! And after complaining and argueing and showing the proof they remade a 3rd of my sandwich but now I’m irritated they took it to an argument that I’m going to corporate to complain and present my picture of the disgusting chewing gum I found in my sons piece...

I had been craving a Togo's sandwich for a few weeks now, so I finally decided to stop on my way home from church.

I had a very short wait in line before I was warmly greeted by my preparer (or "preparess" since she was a female 😁). Anyhow, after getting her assurance that the wrap I was considering (for my grandma, who does NOT do spicy food AT ALL) isn't spicy, I ordered the wrap for her and a sandwich for myself.

Service was fast and friendly, and I'll definitely be back to try some of their salads, which looked (or sounded) good.

And my sandwich craving has been sated!
