Brought me back home.

Trine’s Cafe is a small family-owned restaurant that has very home-style feel. I went on a cold day in December and wanted something to warm me up. I ordered the #11 combo plate that comes with a Beef/Chicken Enchilada and a Chile Relleno with rice and beans. I also ordered a bottled coke. Everything came out to be under $23 after tax.

Everything came out hot and fresh. The beef enchilada was very flavorful. Wasn’t too tomato-y. Very rich and deep flavor in the meat. The chile relleno was very fresh. Once I took my first bite, I immediately felt like a kid eating a meal my mom would make me. That experience alone is priceless. I rate this meal an 8.5/10. I would drive around 30-45 minutes to eat this again.

Went there for breakfast on a Sunday morning. The red chilaquiles were spicy and delicious but lacked garnish. I forgot to order egg with them so later asked the waitress for a couple of eggs, over easy. I got them quickly but they were basically raw. The outside was cooked but cutting into the white, a lot (most of) the clear uncooked liquid spilled out. At our table, we also ordered menudo which was piping hot and delicious. We were asked if we wanted "patita" which we did but we're later told that they ran out. The restaurant itself is outdated and has an old smell which I believe is coming from the carpet The good food mostly made up for the couple of issues with the egg and lack of patitas. A lot of potential at this restaurant, just lacks some...

Neighborhood gem with fantastic food and great service. Clean, lived-in location with plenty of seating. Basket of fresh tortilla chips & tomatillo salsa came immediately. Wife got the chimichangas. I got the beef machaca, some of the best I've had in the Bay Area and I've been looking. Big portions. Tasty food perfectly prepared. Even the beans and rice were proper. IMPORTANT: They make their own corn tortillas and they are amazing: a little thicker and super tender, almost flakey. Service was fast and friendly: the server asked if I needed extra salsa and she brought me more tomatillo salsa & a dark spicy salsa roja. We're looking forward to going back. Heads up: there's a Catholic church in the strip mall, so parking can be tight on a late...

Arrived about 5 pm on a Friday (only customers for the meal, until about 5:30). Service was warm, friendly and welcoming. Food was esthetically appealing, delicious and arrived at an appropriate time after ordering. Chips and green salsa served. Ordered a plate with two chimichangas (shredded beef with some onions and peppers in cooking) rice, beans and small side salad, a combo with chili relleno, cheese enchilada, shredded beef taco rice and beans, a beef stew (carrot, potato, cabbage, corn, celery, bone-in beef in broth--delicious) side of rice and flour tortillas, and chicken nuggets and fries. Kid-friendly with hamburgers and chicken nuggets. Note, lemonade freshly squeezed and sugarless. We'll be back!

Food and service were excellent, dispute of there being just one person who is running the show, right from showing seats, passing menus, taking order and serving out, back at reception! Now sure, she was the one in kitchen too. little torn down, but serves amazing food price is not steep. You get chips and habanero to welcome you. Yes, they don’t take Amex.
