Callejeros | Montemar Plaza — Restaurant in San Juan

So we went to the Callejeros Montemar Plaza location for a quick bite tonight and we were a bit dissapointed. We ordered their house Nachos al Pastor and a Carnitas burrito, both to share. The order took approximately 45 minutes and the restaurant was mostly empty, later we were informed by our waitress that their system had gone offline and that it had not processed any of the orders submitted by the waitresses in the last half hour. This we understand, sometimes it happens and we decided to wait it out, since the waitress was apologetic about the situation. The nachos came out first, they were really good, the Pastor was well seasoned and grilled to perfection and the rest of the toppings were all well balanced and fresh, yet they lacked a bit of cheese. Unfortunately the burrito was a complete dissapointment, it looked great from the outside and pretty good when we sliced it open but it turned out to be a carnitas quesadilla rolled like a burrito. Even though the pork was cooked perfectly it was wrapped in a ball of cheese so thick and greasy that it completely smothered any taste the pork could have. To top it all off the only other vissible ingredient in the burrito was refried beens which were good on their own but in this scenario only melded the greases even more. If there was an option to put zero stars, I’d put that. The food was ok. Their customer service is absolutely horrible. Upon arrival, they told me my order was being packed. After a long 45 minute wait outside and under the flaming hot sun, they said “oh you ordered through the app, the printer is not working so the order is not ready”. I immediately asked for a refund since I was tired from all the waiting and just wanted to eat. They then offered to retake the order and assured that it would be ready in ten minutes. Tired from all the nonsense, I decided to go through with the refund. On the process of that, the staff notified me that the order was magically almost done. After a 15-20 minute wait they finally handed me the food. After a situation like this, you’d at least expect an apology from the staff since it was their mistake to begin with, but not even that happened. The management of the situation was very unprofessional. Also, if your going to promote online ordering through the app on you social media page, make sure it’s properly working. If not, the least you could to is issue a notice on both your social media and the app. I will never touch foot in that...

Food is not the same, quality is not there as it was before....service was bad....order appetizers and they were never brought to the table...waitress gives you a look and says if we were sure that they were not delivered....we just pointed out the plates on the table.

Never came around the table to ask if we needed anything.

We had to walk to the bar to ask for forks....and they asked what we were having before they gave them to us.

Will definitely not go back and will not recommend it.

Specially with all the other options that are available...
