Chinese Food Asahi Sushi Bar — Restaurant in San Juan

We were drawn to the place for the reviews… the place was not busy at all, but all tables were dirty, we cleaned our table. The cashier (who seems to be the owner or family member) was not courteous, it felt like we were interrupting. Right after paying he didn’t offer a receipt. The only thing we ordered, that was okay, was the veggie sushi (seaweed with avo) back home I could feel the taste of salmon in my mouth. I’m pretty sure the sushi chef used the same gloves for non fish sushis which is a lack of cuisine good habits … The veggie dumplings were so perfumed, it was not nice, even though I used soy sauce to try and disguise it. A small jointed, near the main area were a bunch of restaurants and bars are located in the university area. The location is quite small, tight, and sometimes can be a little bit smelly. The rolls are actually quite good, but the prices of the beverages are a little high for the area. The bathrooms could be cleaner, but considering the area where this located it is not bad. Sushi was great, service was mediocre at best, seafood dishes lacked a clear description and we didn’t know it had some sort of octopus that was rubbery and inedible until we got home.
