I did my master's degree there and it was a wounderful experience. It is one of the largest campuses in Puerto Rico, and it is recognized nationally and internationally as one of the best universities in Puerto Rico.
Their library and online catalog has served me well. They have a large database that is useful for research and it is accesible to the public. I had access to many books, theses and articles.
Also they have highly professional educators that come from various schools of thought.
The architecture is very beautiful, especially in the tower. They have many recreational and educational spaces, such as the teather, a small museum and the student center.
Their many praises also comes with a bit of criticisms. One criticism is their governance, for their decisions sometimes work for the detriment of the student body. Another is their parking space. It needs to be improved.

Even it's better, younger brother in Mayagüez (Recinto Universitario de Mayagüez, i.e. RUM) is still only okay. The environment is HIGHLY political, to the point of frustration, staff and students alike are swayed more by State politics and unfair distribution of wealth than they are by educating and being educated. It's fine to be socially conscious, but their interest in politics is blatantly...
