IHOP — Restaurant in San Juan

I ordered a breakfast; 2 eggs, fries, 4 slices of bacon with cinnamon pancakes, clearly a plate from the menu. The waiter did not know what I was ordering. I showed him the photo on the menu and he still did not know what I wanted. I showed him the picture on the freaking menu.

After a while, he brings out the wrong thing, I pointed it out his mistake and he brought another waiter to ask me what was wrong. I told her that he brought the wrong plate and she proceeded to tell me that he brought the right plate. Again I show the picture on the menu and she did not recognized the plate, mind u I ordered the same plate a month ago in this same location. How come they can’t figure it out by looking at the pic? Do they not know their menu?

So I end up eating the food. By this time I was hungry, i finished and asked for the check. Of course something is wrong. They had the audacity to charge me for a sampler and extra stuff that I did not order bc they couldn’t figure out how to charge me.

The manager comes out and tells me that he doesn’t recognize the item in the menu. I have shown this item to 4 different ppl and none of them know how to order it and how to charge me. How is this even possible?

The manager wasn’t nice and the waiters were clueless. This was the worst experience Ive ever had in this location. Ohhh and they still asked for a tip. Like, how fkng dare u after this whole fiasco?

This particular iHop was a disappointment. I was with 3 other people; we arrived an hour before closing; the restaurant wasn't full at all. We were literally the last people to walk in. It took about 15 minutes for the only working servant to come by our table and take our order. We ordered coffee ahead, but it took 30 minutes to get it. It took an additional 15 minutes to get our food. And the servant wouldn't check in at all unless she was bringing something over. In total, it took one hour to get food when we were literally the only order the kitchen was working on. And by that time, the restaurant was closed. As if that weren't bad enough, the food was cold. Some pancakes were burnt. They messed up one order, but the person didn't point it out in fear of them taking an additional hour to fix it. The bacon strips weren't real bacon; they didn't taste like bacon and they looked like Beggin' Bacon Strips! DOGGY TREATS!! Simply...

I ask for a table for one and the hostess seats me, tells me that a server will be with me shortly. I just wanted a french toast combo with coffee and a milkshake, and I often tip good regardless of how good the service actually is since I was a server for many years. From 12:48pm to 1:10pm I over heard servers talking about “it’s not my table it’s actually x’s or y’s table” and NOBODY came to ask if I had even been helped. In front of me they cleaned a table, seated people and served them. I’ve NEVER been more disrespected like that in a restaurant. Stood up and went right next door in Cayo Caribe were they also hace coffee and waiter Felipe quickly served me with kindness. CAYO CARIBE HAS WAY BETTER SERVICE AND MANAGEMENT THAN IHOP, TAKE YOUR BUSINESS...
