If you’re looking for a cozy, flavorful, and culturally rich coffee experience, El Kafecito in San Marcos is an absolute must-visit. This beautiful little spot instantly feels like home. It’s warm, welcoming, and filled with the kind of flavors and hospitality that are hard to find elsewhere. I recently tried their freshly squeezed lemonades, and the peach and lavender were both incredible—refreshing and full of real, vibrant flavor.

When it comes to coffee, the Café de la Olla and Dulce de Leche are my personal favorites. They’re rich, comforting, and full of that authentic taste that reminds you of home. I did try the Mazapan flavor recently and, while it wasn’t my favorite, the overall variety and creativity in their menu more than make up for it.

What I love most about this place is how it honors culture. It’s not just a coffee shop, it’s a celebration of flavor, tradition, and community. From sugar-free options to decaf, iced or hot coffee, and everything in between, there’s truly something for everyone here.

Our friends frequented this business because it was amazing; however, recently the service quality has changed. The chai was mostly milk and watery no color… the girl behind the counter was on the phone talking for the whole interaction…. My friend got a hazelnut coffee & it tasted like mostly oat milk— different than before. Seems like they are neglecting their locations. Hopefully they can invest in a little more training for their personnel & keep to their original quality recipes & maybe add more food options. Hope to see this business...

This place is open late (until 8pm every day except sundays). It is so cute inside with lots of different seating options. They have cute Christmas decorations up right now, too.
