I write this review which should be 1 star bc of corporates involvement and lack of proper procedures.
Only reason it’s not 5 stars is bc after I spent hours on the phone with India and requested a call back from management, the phone I was trying to rapid replace resets Randomly. The agent I was talking with in the store mid talk, my phone turned off and they had 0 courtesy to call me back which further fueled my rage. Why , why when you have all these notes would you not call back ? I wish I remembered his name bc when I was there I would have blasted him in front of management. I think it was Brandon with geek squad not sure. Or some male with I’m sure management has record of. Don’t ever go to Oceanside location for android repair as they are listed as a authorized Samsung dealer but have no such team or employee. They send everyone to San Marcos. Wasted time and appointment even after talking with geek squad twice for 2 separate issues within 2 years. At San Marcos David the manager processed my order with a new employee in training and did everything correctly for a rapid phone exchange and the new phone to be sent to my residence. 6 days pasted. Lost lots of business bc of my phone that keeps turning off and freezing S22 ultra note. No phone no tracking. Called geek squad , spent hours on hold with customer service then geek squad and they had no record of any order status. Just my deductible charge. I requested the store management to call me back asap but they told me it could be 48 hours and I should just fo back into the store. 3rd trip to the store 20 miles away from me. Waited 55 minutes for service at geek squad. Zachary reviewed my status and was EXTREMELY helpful finally. Explained corporate got the request. David processed correctly but the phone was no longer available so the system cancelled the order all together and didn’t notify me or the store. He talked with manger Anneka who was off in order to help this 12 hour and 7 day no phone debacle. She was kind enough to get a phone refund and deductible refund. Buttttt I couldn’t get it unless I forfeited my phone all together and I can’t transfer data bc rapid exchange send the new phone to your home so u can transfer date which takes hours and send back defective phone. So then I had to leave again without a working phone ( at this point I had already purchased another phone from another store bc of lack of trust in Best Buy’s process and my need to run 3 businesses) went home and transferred all data to computer. Zachary was kind enough to provide me with his availability so I would not have to wait as long again and let his recommendation I made a 4th appointment to come in again for the gift card. Upon my arrival I never met Anneka the manager but she immediately sniped me out of the line and processed my return within minutes and was very apologetic. She confirmed corporates fault at not notifying of phone unavailability to the store or me the client.
All in all Samsung products and android are now trash. But iPhones can’t come close to the Samsungs camera, speaker surround system, resolution , Microsoft outlook email options, flashlight power , video recording switch camera options , or having a clipboard of any sort to copy and paste things ( apple has apps you have to pay for nonsense for basic 20 year ago computer principals) also apples google voice consistently crashes , and what’s app can’t add contacts.
Also unfortunately Best Buy doesn’t have any phones that are unlocked so buying another phone and selling it wasn’t a option either.
That is all. Also most important don’t waste your time calling. Corporate has outsourced all calls to any store to India. They have done this out of greed and to force you to come in , in hopes you will purchase a stick of gum for $8 in the least.
They will be like Circuit city due to Amazon very shortly. Wait for chapter 8 bankruptcy it’s coming. They have been hemorrhaging money for years now. Your BEST BUY WILL BE YOUR...
Read moreI went on Friday after work to get a new phone with a different server. After 2 hours I finally left with my new phone. The Sales Clerk promised me that all my contacts and pictures would easily be transferred to the new phone and sent me on my way. Guess what people????? They wiped out 238 contacts and 402 pics never to be seen again. I didn't realize the contacts were missing till about 9:15pm and by then they were closed. I was outside the door at 10 am Sat to hopefully get my contacts and pics back. These were INVALUABLE to me. They basically told me "tough luck" and I said just cancel this new phone and give me my old Iphone 4 back (empty, of course). They made me wait another 2 hour and I was late to work. The attitude was totally disrespectful to me, I was extremely upset at the loss. The asst mgr told me the first page of their website it tells people to back up their phones. I wasn't online, I was in person. I went to the supposed experts, I'm a 55 yr old grandma with very little IT skills. That's why I trusted this person who didn't show any concern at my loss. I have many old friends/family back in the Midwest and East Coast who don't have computers. My phone contacts were the only way to reach them. I have a serious lung disease and may not live another 5 years, now how will my children tell my loved ones that I have passed from this world. The pics were amazing of kids and grandkids and my travels - all gone as well. I fell into a depression for the last two days due to this loss. Afterwards, another clerk showed me an easy feature called icloud and with two clicks all my photos and contacts could have been restored. THIS WAS NEVER EVEN SUGGESTED TO ME WHEN I WAS BUYING THE NEW PHONE. I MEAN, REALLY??????????? All of this could have been easily avoided. The management there blamed me of course because I took the WORD of the salesgirl when she said to me " well, all your contacts and pics are on your new phone - I just transferred them." The inconsiderate asst mgr said "well just because she said she transferred them - CAN YOU CONFIRM OR DENY THAT THEY WERE THERE!!!!! My mistake was in believing in what the phone specialist told me. I cried and cried and have begun the process of trying to get back some of those contacts. I am in commission sales and those numbers equate to money for me. Again, immeasurable loss That store is rude and the employees are unskilled. I will NEVER spend another penny at Best Buy. Fry's is right around the corner. Never trust a cell phone person at Best Buy - they just want your $$$. They will steal part of your life to get...

I purchased an "open box" HP all in one computer for Mother's Day on Sunday. The description specifically said it might be missing the box or an accessory. However it didn't say it was used. I bought it online and came to pick it up. The associate put it in my back seat and assured me that I could return it if there was anything wrong with it. And there was plenty wrong with it. When I took it home to give to my mother, I noticed it has some liquid splash marks on the screen, some scuffs on the cords and when I plugged it in and booted it up, some strangers name appeared on the screen. This was not just an open box.
What an embarrassment and disappointment to give my mother a gift like this on Mother's Day. So I called the store and was told if I bring it all the way back in, that they would try and fix it and then offered me some sort of compensation for it. I was considering keeping it if they could reset it but only if discounted as suggested on the phone. At first they said they couldn't reset it. Then I waited about 15 minutes and somebody in the back said that they did. I don't really know but they would not give me even a one-cent discount to keep it regardless. After the gas, mileage and time I wasted turning back and forth 20 minutes each way, after the embarrassment in front of my family and disappointing my mother, Best Buy would not give me even a one-cent discount on it.
I ended up leaving the heavily used computer it was supposed to be a present for my mom for Mother's Day it accepted the refund I was being offered. But it doesn't end there because it was not till I got home that I realized they did not even refund me the full amount?!
After taking the time to call for an explanation, I was informed that Best Buy was going to keep $5 of my money as a recycling fee. What are you talking about recycling fee? You sold me something that was not as described. It was used, useless, a waste of time and you dare insult me by placing any of the blame on me by making me pay $5 for this awful experience?? THIS WAS ALL YOUR FAULT BECAUSE YOU SOLD ME A HEAVILY USED COMPUTER and you lied when you started to me! Did you charge Darren DeYoung a recycling fee also because his name was all over the used computer you sold me!!
Best Buy, I am sharing my experience with the world AND I AM REPORTING YOU TO THE BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU! My friends and family are already upset with you and will be sure to steer clear of your business because of you're completely unethical and corrupt business...
