Milonga Empanadas — Restaurant in San Marcos

After discovering Milonga's alfajores at a party and being thoroughly impressed, we decided to make a special trip from San Diego to San Marcos on a Saturday to try their empanadas and, of course, get more alfajores. Unfortunately, our experience fell short of expectations.

To our disappointment, they didn’t have any alfajores available. We were looking forward to enjoying more of those delicious treats.

We did try their empanadas, which were good. However, the experience was affected by the absence of chimichurri. It was quite confusing to visit an Argentinian establishment that didn’t offer this...

Absolutely stunning food. I particularly enjoyed the: Ham and Cheese Caprese Criolla (steak) Bluey (walnut, dates, onion jam)

Everything was perfectly cooked and delicious! I got the 6 for $30 option and asked for one of each so I could try bites of a bunch and share with my wife.

The chocotorta dessert is to die for… think upscale Argentinian chocolate / tres leches parfait. Really really good. I keep coming back for bites of it.

Friendly folks here and they were very accommodating and made it very easy to order ahead for pickup through DoorDash....

This is a Great Place that offers a true taste of Argentina with their authentic cuisine. From the first bite, you're transported to the streets of Buenos Aires. The empanadas are simply delightful, bursting with flavor and made with care. The service is impeccable, adding to the overall experience. Highly recommended for anyone craving a genuine taste of Argentina and top-notch service. The chocotorta is out of this world! Congratulations to the owners and looking forward...
