I was driving around yesterday morning, looking to get me a breakfast burrito from somewhere,......anywhere, when I saw this place, Pegah's Kitchen and figured they should have breakfast burritos and, sure enough, they did. So I walked into this place and found the charm of an old timey family owned style dinner. I was immediately greeted by the nice, soft-spoken gentleman behind the counter. I asked him if I could place an order to go. He said "sure" so I checked out the menu and discovered that they use 3 eggs in their breakfast burritos BUT they don't offer a combination of breakfast meats(sausage, ham and/or bacon) like many other breakfast burrito joints do. No, you are to choose only 1 of the 3. Sure, you can get all 3 meats, if you like, but they'll charge you extra for it. So I ordered mine with bacon and sausage and then I threw them a curveball by requesting my eggs to be cooked over medium, instead of the standard scramble. (I highly recommend that you try it like that next chance you get, it changes the whole dynamic of the flavor output of your breakfast burrito). He looked at me as if I were crazy when I ordered my eggs like that. I added a large Coke(no Coke, Pepsi, and 24 oz. was their largest cup) to my order and politely said "that is all". When he rang me up and gave me the total, I was in shock. I couldn't believe it. 1 breakfast burrito w/extra meat and 1 large Pepsi came out to be $24 and some change. Outrageous!!! Preposterous!!! Even the extra egg and extra meat does not, can not justify charging so much for a breakfast burrito and a soda. Not at a diner. Not anywhere. The burrito was good but not $10 extra worth of good. I doubt I'll be going there again and if you decide to check it out for yourself, make sure to bring your...
Read morePegah's is your great mom and pop place serving all the favorites for breakfast and lunch, etc. There are very few places with the variety, amount of food being plentiful around that don't charge an arm and a leg. Not saying it's cheap but for what you get in quality and amount is a good price. One of the few places you can find old fashioned waffles and belgium. I'm a fan of the old fashioned but most places only have the real thick Belgian style waffles. There's another place that has them but it'll cost you an arm and a leg for one waffle. So at least Pegah's has it right. The place is clean and bright and the staff are very very kind and go above and beyond!
Update 2/10/22 well, no longer inexpensive. Covid has done a number on dining out everywhere and prices. Unless you're a senior, you'll be paying more than $10 for a basic breakfast. Most items are in the $11-17 range. Use coupons during the week if you can. Love the staff and place and food is...
Read moreDecent breakfast place. On par with IHOP or Dennys. Open from 6am to 2pm, no dinner service. About $40 to feed 2 adults with 1 ice tea, all in. Crowded during peak times, but still fast and pleasant service. For the category of quick breakfast cafe, it's very decent. The place is fairly clean, doesn't smell, and isn't too loud. Overall pleasant. The table and bench needed to be wiped down for crumbs, but wasn't sticky. Our server was efficient and knowledgeable of the menu. I had chicken fried steak with mashed potato and raisin toast with eggs over easy. Eggs cooked perfectly, toast was a great, and the chicken fried steak was juicy and not dry. Mashed potato was perfect, with real potato not instant. Will definitely come again. Very ADA compatible. Plenty of parking. Located in a strip mall. The only cafe in this part of town. They need a computer system and air curtains for the doors. We sat next to a door, and there were some flies. Ice...
