The Cowshed — Restaurant in San Marcos

I felt very uncomfortable and unwelcome. Rebecca the bar tender which I had assumed was just a patron. Failed to acknowledge our presence. We waited over 10 min at a very empty bar. Finally, I went up to the part of the bar that actually has the entrance to the kitchen to see if there was a bartender to be seen. She proceeds to get up from her bar stool and get a plastic bag for someone. Directly in front of me about 1 foot from my body. I say, "Oh! You are the bartender?" And I asked is she serving this part of the bar? We are sitting right over here. She said, what do you want? I asked if she serves Cabernet. And my friend is over there and she would like to order what she would like. She says she will come. She asks for our IDs. I get mine out my friend gets hers and Rebecca walks away to hang out at the bar. We sit for another 10+ minutes and she doesn't acknowledge us at all. My friend goes up to her and a customer says, " You have a customer." Rebecca replies, "well if she wants something, then she can ask me." And another 10 minutes we are STILL sitting here.... and now there is another bartender also. And they both are taking drink orders from everyone else except for us.

If I could give this place zero stars I would. Not sure why we were discriminated against. I would be very wary to anyone coming...

I can't even express the amount of memories I have here at the Cowshed. 5 years I've been coming here. Becca is the day time server and I love love love her. She is beyond amazing. The way she interacts with the customers she makes you feel right at home no matter if it's been your first time in or if you are a regular. She's attentive and so caring she cooks amazing food and loves on everyone that walks through the doors I've seen it first hand. She makes the ambiance of this place so homely. The night crew is also amazing Sam, Joey, Nicole and Gorge they are phenomenal. They make your experience here amazing. If you can make your way here just to experience what I have for the last 5 years please do. Ray is the owner and he is always present and that man is beyond amazing. He welcomes you and makes sure to keep you safe from everything others and yourself. I appreciate everyone here you guys are the Core of...

I nominate this to be the new lesbian bar(n) in san marcos. It felt Safe and Fun and a lil Kooky- it was Perfect imo 👌 the old white guys that hang around Must stay for they are the Fathers we Needed ✋ karaoke, nice spacious yet cozy area, cow themed, the occassional drag show 👀 it's perfect! 🥰 I only hope it wasn't Already the local lesbian bar(n- nailed it twice!) I'm new in town and don't actually know 😅 but if it was, the Fierce was strong with this one 💪 as I was pulled towards it, mainly due to the cow theme Thank you for the wonderful night you guys! I hope I get to go one more time before I move away to wa at the end of the month because housing here sucks 🙃 And to the lil black haired woman who was grinding on my date on the dancefloor as I watched...
