I feel as though if you are going to run a restaurant, it would be wise that the people handling the good cover their mouths. Both male workers had their faces exposed which made me really thankful for the extra potential topping of covid, flu, and basically any other airborne disease that could occur.
A special thanks to the women of this restaurant for actually following working protocol in maintaining health code regulations while working under the same amount of stress as all other employees here.
Now, if we wanna talk about the pizza itself, I ordered the Linda Mar, which is a concoction of veggies like olives, artichoke, broccoli (among others) and I feel that this pizza would have tasted much better had it not looked like the person that arranged the toppings had not just walked out due to the excessive demand of all orders coming in at this hour. The arrangement was a parallel of a child attempting to play Mozart's Eine Kleine Nachtmusik. One is left to wonder if such an arrangement should be applauded for the difficulty of the task at hand, or ridiculed for its under-deliverance and sloppy existence.
The stress of a high traffic hour is a lot for a specially pizza establishment to have. Perhaps the quality of their pie improves during...
Read moreI came in with my two kids and ordered 2 cheese slices right off the counter. The pizza was allready made. I asked for the kids cut and the big strong man with long hairput the slices into the oven.
We paid and took a seat with our two kids drinks. After 15 minutes, I looked over and the big strong man was eating pizza and noticed our pizza was just sitting there in the counter.
The cashier noticed it had been a long time and said, "your pizza will be right out." I was just about two ask if they were making it from scratch... A few minutes later the pizza was cut and brought to our table. Also, didn't like the big strong man eating and then handling our food without washing his hands.
Not sure what was going on here since the family ahead of us had a party of 5 and they got their food as they paid. Perhaps it was that they had me pay and sort of asked for a tip should be provided on the front end on a meal that only cost $12 total. Also since the server is only bring out the pizza. I disagree a tip is warranted here for a meal where the server does not refill the drinks or takes additional requests...Anyhow, I won't be going back to Pizza My Heart in San Mateo.

Read moreDelicious New York thin crust, but mainly we loved their vibes for kids on Tuesdays from 5-8 pm. We had stumbled into this place because it was close to Central Park where we were letting my 6-year-old niece run around during a family stopover at San Francisco Airport (SFO).
Pizza My Heart had a special where kids could put together their own mini-pizza on Tuesday evenings, and this night they had a juggler for the kids too. My niece got the T-shirt with the pizza, and now she says she's an employee of Pizza My Heart when she wears the shirt!
We were tired out, but the staff was still amazingly friendly and accommodating. Yes, the prices were high -- $28 for a medium pizza, kid pizza (with T-shirt), and chicken Caesar salad -- but the food is great quality, and we felt lucky to...
