Vineyard Cafe — Restaurant in San Mateo

The service has been very slow based on several experiences I've had at the Vineyard cafe in the past couple of months. They have long lines during lunch time, which is reasonable but they kept messing up my orders. For example, I ordered a sandwich (no customization) and had to wait for half an hour for it. My number was 210 something. First, I was waiting patiently and started hearing numbers past 210. I was thinking probably their orders were simpler. After waiting for about 20 minutes and they were already delivering orders for people whose numbers are in 230s. I went to ask the lady that was responsible for making sandwiches. She acted like she never saw my order came in. So I gave her my receipt. It took her another 10 minutes to make my sandwich. I wanted to save time by going just downstairs to grab a sandwich but turned out to be wasting more time waiting. This has happened several times. I hope they can make some...

My order was made incorrectly and I asked that they re-make it, they decided to try and salvage some of my sandwhich and put it on new bread, I said that I still saw mayo on it and then was yelled at by the kitchen staff that there was no mayo on it, that it was mustard. I pulled up and saw a Starbucks. Super confusing. I thought I was going to a Cute Vinyard Cafe to cozy up and do a little bit of work on my laptop while waiting for an appointment…Negative! This is a Starbucks. One of the employees told me they are licensed with Starbucks. I guess. It had a Hotel downstairs Starbucks lobby feel. I was not in the mood for that. Ugh.
