La Carreta — Restaurant in San Mateo

Just WOW! I ordered a super burrito with carne asada, and oh my it was absolutely DELICIOUS! This is seriously the best burrito I’ve had in a long time. It was packed with flavor, and good quality ingredients. My meal came with chips and salsa verde, and the salsa was so good and flavorful!

Everything is MADE TO ORDER, which I prefer and happy to wait for because you will see the difference and taste how better it is this way.

There is plenty of parking where they are stationed, and there is a beautiful lake and grassy area so bring your picnic blanket to enjoy your meal! There is also another park 5 min drive away, parkside aquatic park with lots of tables if you prefer that. I will have to come back to try more...

Oh my god—this was hands down the BEST burrito I’ve ever had in my life. I got the vegetarian option with mushrooms and cactus, and I’m still floored by how insanely good it was. From the outside, this food truck looks pretty unassuming, but the quality of the food is next level. The tortilla was perfectly soft, and the fillings were fresh, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. Can’t recommend it enough!

They told me in the mornings they have vegetarian...

I'm usually too lazy to leave reviews, but I had to for this place! There are a lot of local taco trucks with long lines, and I often don't get the hype. But this one? Absolutely mind-blowing! Their Asada fries and burrito are fantastic. I also tried the Vampiro because the owner recommended it, and it was unbelievably good. I truly hope this business becomes even more successful!
