First time diner, last time diner. We came in at around 3 pm for dinner, only a few tables in the restaurant. Got sat, was not offered peanuts like the other tables around us. That's cool because we would be thirsty most the meal. Took a while for anyone to acknowledge us or come to come to the table to great us and get our drink orders. The server took forever to come back with our drinks to thankful that we didn't get peanuts! Seemed strange because there was only 4 tables in the area we were seated. 2 tables were finishing up and 2 tables had already got their food. So not sure where the server went to get drinks. Ordered our food. Salads came out first with some hard rolls. Don't know what they hype is with Colton's "ranch" it was bland. Might as well have been buttermilk tossed into the salad and nothing else. The instant I saw another staff member bring in a baby from the to-go pick up window I knew the service would go down hill! They did not disappoint with their disappointment. My wife and I ordered our steaks mid-rare. So after about 20 minutes of waiting after I finished my salad (that was never cleared off the table) the food arrived and much to my amazement both of our steaks were over cooked! Normally I would say something. Hunger, time, and knowledge I was not prepared to fight. When a steak house over cooks my steak I just won't return. No refills, no server to be found ( they were all googoo for the baby) the entire Front of house was basically abandoned. People at the doors, people needing checks, people wanting refills. No customer service at this place. We thought get there early enjoy a great meal before it gets crowded. Nope! Totally disappointed. It is what it is. A chain steak house. Before you say they are under staffed. I counted 11 staff members roaming with maybe a total of 9 tables in the entire place. That us just what we can see in the front. So long story short. Chain steak house...

When she did, she said she would have to clean off a table which took a disproportionate amount of time. While waiting, two other staff members came to check, but we told them we were being helped. The wait gave us some time to observe the decor and ambiance, which is one of the best aspects of the restaurant. We were finally seated, and orders placed. Two of the small plates at our place settings were dirty, so we asked for replacements which took a while to arrive. We had to ask for the bread which is supposed to accompany the food. I believe they are also supposed to bring peanuts, but those were also not brought? The fried pickle and onion tangler appetizers were the highlight of our meals, they were fresh and crispy. Their ranch dressing and signature sauces are very good, but it is not a great sign when that is one of the few positive things to say. Things went downhill from there. A few of us got the sirloin tips, which had an "off" taste to them, sort of gamey, and one order was overdone with a rubbery texture. I've had them in the past and they tasted different this time. We had an order for a Montana Burger, which was supposed to come with bacon and barbecue sauce, but arrived with neither. I wanted to take home some of the leftover sauce cups and asked for lids to do so, and was told they would be brought, but those also never appeared. We did bring the food to staff's attention, and the manager adjusted the ticket, so that was very helpful and we appreciated it. This was our third time trying Colton's together and I'm afraid it may be the last. I hope they improve in the above-mentioned aspects and future diners have more positive...
Read moreThis was my first time to Colton‘s steak House and I’m trying to allow the current pandemic being partly to blame for my personal experience. The decor was rustic and the atmosphere friendly and following all of the distance guidelines, all the wait staff and management had facemasks on. The menu had several choices for any kind of appetite; as well as a colorful drink menu. There was rather a delay getting the drinks, do to short staffing I’m sure. I did have two other guests with me but I did not get a photo of their meals, so this is strictly mine. I ordered the 10oz ribeye with 2 sides ($20.99 at the Sand Springs, Ok. location), I chose the baked potato w/extra butter and a house salad with ranch, and a cocktail. The waitress brought my cocktail within a few minutes. In another 10 minutes came my salad, very basic house salad, croutons, diced tomatoes, shredded cheese, and a red onion ring and plenty of ranch. 15-20 minutes had passed when she brought our meals, she laid my plate down and asked for me to cut into it to the steak for my approval; I had ordered it medium. I am taking into consideration of the thinness of it and it was medium. It tasted just ok, I have had that same taste in most restaurants. The baked potato that came with the meal is NOT the one pictured, this is the replaced baked potato. The original one was over baked, very tough and thick skinned, basically inedible. When the manager brought the replacement she appeared to have a tad bit of an attitude about it, roughly asking “is that better”. Not sure if that was aimed at me or her frustration with the situation which is why I only gave this experience three stars. I didn’t make a commotion out of it, we asked for to go containers and paid the bills and left. I don’t think I will go back to this particular...
