We REALLY wanted to love this place — but after being told it would be 20 minutes and not seeing our order for an hour (I am not exaggerating), it’ll be hard to bring ourselves back.

One star is for the fries - great herbs, great consistency, and the large was perfect for three of us to split. And one star for the burgers. Nothing mind-blowing, but we’d been backpacking the night before and had worked up quite an appetite! It hit the spot.

Ambiance: not great unless you can snag a spot on the tiny patio with views of the river and harbor; indoors is crowded and loud. Service: also not great. As I mentioned, we were told 25 minutes and the order didn’t arrive til an hour later. Two parties that had placed orders after us received their food, ate, and left before we got ours (which was not complicated; 3 burgers with no customization and one serving of fries. No drinks, no dessert). I understand a slow wait time, but when other people with larger parties in line BEHIND you get your food first (and you’re hungry from backpacking!!), it really feels... sad. Also not one word of apology from the server or staff. That sucked the most. We patiently waited TWICE as long as they told us (well, my brother went in to check on the status when it had been 45 minutes), and nobody volunteered so much as an “I’m sorry for the inconvenience,” let alone “hey, want a free milkshake?!” (Totally would’ve said yes)

Anywayyyyyy if you have time to kill, it’s a nice burger. If you’re in a hurry at...

Have tried four of the burgers here now. 1. Bacon Cheeseburger is classic. Special sauce lives up to the adjective "special", grilled onions are perfect, bacon was crispy and very good. 2. "The Bee" is one of the most unique burgers I've ever had. The Brie melts together with the honey and had perfect balance with the aioli and arugula. I paired this with a Chardonnay and it was perfect. 3. "The popper" is spicy and delicious. Same bacon as the bacon burger. 4. My friend gave me the last two bites of his peanut butter burger. Never had this combo before but love peanut butter. This was really good too but would only recommend if you're really into peanut butter since there are so many winners. Fries are tasty and crispy and the aioli they come with seems to be similar or same as the special sauce on the bacon burger. The commonality of all of their burgers are a) patty - really high quality meat and just the right amount (prob 6oz) to keep it balanced with all the other great flavors b) buns - the buns are so good and fresh tasting. I asked the clerk where they got them and they said a special bakery partner in Montana... going to track them down. I will be back here EVERY time I come to Sandpoint. Oh yeah, and in addition to the food the service is friendly, the place is new, clean and well designed and it's got beautiful views of the water. One of my best burger experiences in this decade on the...

I had high hopes for this place. It was OK but I probably won't return due to price vs value. The location is in the heart of downtown Sandpoint right on the intersection on the way to city beach so parking is a bit cumbersome. There was very loud construction across the street when I visited but that has no bearing on the review but rather just something to note/plan for. They do have an outside seating area out back facing the river but it was closed due to the construction.

I was greeted upon entering and the counter staff that took my order was pleasant. She stated they use mostly locally sourced ingredients. They have a unique soda brand that touts organic but their ice machine was broken so I opted for a shake instead. While tasty, I do not feel the $6 price tag for what I guessed to MAYBE be 8 oz of ice cream to be worthwhile. The fries are similar to cut and size of McDonald's and get cold rather quickly. The burger presented well but (this is totally a preference statement) the burger was pink in the middle and my arms were covered in grease. If you like your burgers done more, I suggest you request it. They also have several drafts on tap. (See photos.) NOTE: They do not provide...

Tall on flavor, short on everything else. This is a good one and done experience. The flavor of the food was fantastic, but were it not for the opening day discount, I would have gone elsewhere. Not only do they charge a hefty price for a burger, but they stick it to you by charging a hefty price for a side of fries. The local soda packs a large price tag as well. Again flavor is really good. But you’ll probably end up paying close to $20 for a lunch. Keep in mind, the fries in the picture are a small. And what it gains in taste it lacks in comfort. All the food is extremely oily and falls apart while eating. You will go through a mess of napkins. I ended up with a mess on my shirt as well. The music is loud, and TVs and menus are high enough to hurt your neck. They do offer laminated menus, but all in all, a little over the top. I wish them well, but I probably will not come back. Don’t even think I can recommend it, because of the price alone.

After searching for a place to eat in a sea of closed establishments - a light from the heavens opened upon the gateway to my meat eatting fantasies. The Burger Dock doors open and the sweet smell of my desires were met within minutes. A frosty adult beverage in one hand as the sultry fries dipped in ranch made for a moment savored for a scene out of Iron Chef. Tim and Jordan made us feel like family as we shared a moment to discuss our dreams, life plans and the future. All of which now have The Burger Dock as a launching point for our next road trip. If you eat food, eat here. You won't be dissapointed. Cheers, Kolby & Alisa
