I stopped by to grab a bagel for breakfast and I was pretty disappointed. The bagel was disappointing because it was nothing special and tasted the same as a grocery store bagel. I guess I don't understand the point of a "bagel shop" that doesn't make it's own bagels. I have a hard time seeing why I would go to this bagel shop if all they do is toast a bagel that's not made in house and then just add toppings. Uptown Bagel Co. will soon be a Sandpoint icon. I come here regularly since they've opened, and I'm glad I do. The staff is friendly, the space is clean and festive, and (most importantly) the sandwiches are fantastic. I'm always looking forward to what the next weeks special is, and their options for sides and drinks are eclectic and appetizing.
