Tervan Tavern — Restaurant in Sandpoint

Nothing to brag about but it is just a beer and wine spot. I have not tried the food but the beer was cold. The service of the long time bartender was terrible. We sat in a booth and she looked our way several times and after 15 minutes of her yaking with customers on a Sunday night she decided to finally come from behind the bar and serve customers. Only she did not come to our table (the people that sat down 15 ninutes ago, you know the only ones without a drink) she went to her regulars and chatted it up some more and brought them more drinks. I finally had to go up to the bar and some guy moved over slightly to let me order. She did come to our table when our glasses were empty (for over 15 minutes) and asked if we wanted another round. Our reply was yes and only one drink came. She did not bring mine nor did she ask if I wanted one when she brought my husbands. Very rude and a terrible bartender indeed. But I guess when you don't need the money you can run a business this way and keep those types...

The Tervan solidifies itself as one of the best dive bars ever because you have a selection of schwilly beers to pound while your throwing hatchets outside. Boom! Love this place. You can drink, smoke and eat from the chow wagon all at the same time whilst waiting for your turn to Huck hatchets at the Target out back. Plus you can leave your friends notes on dollar bills that are stapled all over the main room, warm yourself by the fire, or engage in conversation with the regulars if you ever get bored. The owners are super nice and your body will thank you because you didn't punish yourself with shots all night. See ya...

This is such a sad review because this place has so much potential on a Friday and Saturday night with karaoke. The female bartender who was working on 12/28 really just chooses to ignore people. This is an issue we have had for years now with this specific bartender. We would spend so much more money here if they had a second, more efficient bartender working as well. Sad how much money they lose out on just having customers be absolutely ignored. I understand it gets busy but the lack of efficiency is extremely frustrating—just want people...
