Hated this whole experience! So 1st; I got a drink. A Bud Light bottle. It's $5! That's insane! That's expensive!!!!! Smh!!!!!! 2nd, we decided to do bowling. It's $20 a person per hour. The timer starts the second you pay at the desk!!!!! That's unfair! You have to get shoes, enter names on the board. Find a ball etc!!!!! We were on line 5 in the corner. Our lane didn't light up and it froze after every one's 1st bowl! So we had no clue what was going on! Who's turn it was etc!!!!! 3rd, I go to the bar by the bowling and ask for Washington apple shots. The bartender has no cranberry juice for the shot and tells me to pay for them and she'll go to the other bar, get the cranberry juice and bring to me. We waited over 20mins for these drinks!!!! Same with truly drinks. She had us pay, than she had to go get them from another bar in the building! Another 20mins plus!!!! Than I got cold. So I wanted to buy a sweater from the gift shop/bar place. I rang the doorbell they have and waited! 20mins plus, no one comes! I come back 10/15 mins later and try it again! Another 20mins, no one comes! I walk around to the bar part of it and the waitress tells me she'll be with me shortly. 20/30mins go by! Again no service! So I ask a person coming out the door by me if they could help but they said they only worked for the gambling area. But she points to a gentleman who was standing by the bar talking to customers. So I go up and ask him if he could help me, that I only wanted to buy a sweatshirt. He tells me the bartender will help me. I said yeah she's extremely busy and needs help back there! He says no she doesn't, have a seat!!!!!!! Who was he talking to like that!!!! Unbelievable!!!!! The sweatshirts say $35 but I paid $50. Because I got a xlarge? That's BS!!!!!!!! The service was absolutely terrible! The atmosphere was horrible!!!! Also we tried to play corn hole. 4/5 of the bags were just cloth! Nothing in them! You can't even enjoy the activities they offer because the crap is so ghetto and worn down!!!!!!!!!! And the food wasn't that great!!!!!! This place sucks!!!!!! So over priced and not worth spending any money or a...

The Thirsty Pony was recommended by Google, as my daughter and I were looking for a good burger place to sit down and eat.

Pulling up it looked like a fun bar type place that the food could go either way, good or bad. I had no trouble parking and walked right in to an open table. We arrived at 6pm on a Friday night.

We were instantly greeted by an upbeat waitress that took our drink and app order. After a few min, the waitress returned to get our food order and drop off the appetizer. We ordered the Spinach artichoke dish. My daughter and I each took a chip and dug in. We took a bite, looked at each other, and said "Holy S$%t!" This was followed by a ravenous frenzy of flying chips, bread bowl pieces, and dip flying as the plate was scraped clean. (If you didn't guess, this was a 10/10 app. Best I've ever eaten)

This was shortly followed by the delivery of our burgers. Each burger looked the part. Large, juicy, and looked delicious. We ordered each burger with regular fries. I had the Bleu Cheese burger (added hot sauce) and was pleasantly surprised. We were not asked about cooking temp, so each of them came well done. No pink. (I didn't think of this when ordering) The fries were crunchy and provided a nice accompaniment to the burger.

The atmosphere is that of a cross between a dive bar and sports bar. LOTS going on. TVs displaying horse racing, local TV, and live sports. (I believe they offer gambling options) They do offer a lot of "fun" alcohol choices. They have both booth and stool seating. (Did not use the bathrooms)

Two things I would like to mention, is that my drink was never refilled. Not sure if they charge for refills, but I was never asked. Secondly, instead of refilling my drink, I did get a waitress to give me an MGM gambling card to sign up for. Slightly infuriating.

Overall, the experience was really great and would highly recommend the...

Called here about a job and the workers here are so rude I called here twice already about a job in the same day and they kept transferring me the first time some lady answered the phone who they transferred me too and I couldn't understand what the hell she was saying. I thought I was being transfer to a manager. I asked her was she a manager and she said no. Do you not know who you transfering me too cause you should know.. And then when I called back again I told what ever man answer the phone I told him that when you transfer me it didn't go through cause honestly it sound like the very same man who I spoke too the first time. He asking me what can he help me with it's like hello I wanna speak to a damn manager. People are irraiting to me. You all should know rather If you are hiring or not. Shouldn't no one have to keep calling back and end up getting a voice but yet if I would of left a voice mail message I wouldn't of gotten a return phone call. I don't even waste my time leaving voice mail messages no more for any one. People are so lazy now days. I wanted to try the food here it look like they have good food but just not good communication skills. No body is going to give me the run around sending me to a voice mail ain't helpful. I will never leave a voice mail message if you don't answer oh well you will just miss my call. I don't have time for all this stupid stuff iam looking for a job. It's either you hiring or you not get to the point already damn. Don't keep transferring me and I end up getting a voice mail. I had to many people that didn't call me back and I'm sure this place wouldn't call me back. I don't do voice mail messages no more. People use to be a little better at returning my calls but they not no more but what ever smh.. no longer interested in work...

For Bar/Tavern Burgers, the Thirsty Pony is among the best. I discovered this place as a child. I went cedar point at 14 years old for the first time and when it was my turn in the trip to pick where to have dinner, I chose the thirsty pony. I spiritually knew just by looking at the building from Castaway bay across the street the previous few days of the trip that they had great burgers. My family and I sat down and I wasted no time ordering a burger and my brother got a burger and my parents got something else. I scarfed my burger down. I inhaled it. My brother couldn’t finish his cause he was younger than me eating an adult burger, so my dad gladly took the leftovers and he was so disgusted with himself that he didn’t order a burger, he declared that we wouldn’t leave town to go home before having one more meal there and an opportunity for him to get a burger himself. That was our first of 4 trips to cedar point and the following 3 trips, my family has made it their business to eat at the thirsty pony at least twice each trip. This place is absolutely a HOF bar burger place and second on my all time list for best Bar burgers. Pucker’s in Gatlinburg Tennessee is #1. But that’s only because Pucker’s has Juicy Lucy’s and Thirsty Pony didn’t (or at least I haven’t seen it on the menu any of my times in). Juicy Lucy puts the cheese and bacon inside the burger in a pouch and it’s just an unfair advantage. But straight up, regular cheeseburger vs regular cheeseburger, Thirsty pony could just be the best Bar burger in the country. You absolutely have to stop in and try it once in your lifetime.

We were in Sandusky for spring break. I wanted to take my family to a family, friendly sports bar and watch the NFL draft so we settled here on the thirsty pony. We were surprised to see a place that was offering the “world famous “Fricker’s chicken wings. Were from Dayton, Ohio so we have Fricker everywhere. We know better than they used to be great wings. They’re more basic bar wings at best, but we decided to go here because it felt familiar compared to the other sports bars in the area. First off the good. We like the non-Fricker’s items, especially the appetizers, like the Nashville, hot cheese, curds, and the giant pretzel. We also liked the kids meals because they came and divided plates with applesauce and goldfish. What we didn’t like. Where to start honestly every review that you read about service times and the weight staff is 100% correct after being told to sit wherever we’d like it took almost 20 minutes for us to be greeted in another 15 to 20 minutes just to get waters. As time went on, I started to notice how dirty the restaurant was and also it would smell like weed here and there. I don’t know if it was the kitchen staff or an open window somewhere, but it seemed to blow in here and there and really ruined the atmosphere. Don’t be wrong. This place definitely has potential and has some good ideas built into the concept, but it needs a major overhaul. If it’s gonna be family friendly I’m assuming they’re only surviving off of the sports betting that’s happening and the hotel that’s next-door.
