It was our first time here, after wanting to come here for a few years now. We stayed in the Starfish room.
The GOOD:
The beds were very comfortable, and the room was clean. The room you book comes with wristbands that cover you for your entire stay, which is super great because wristbands cost $30 before 5 pm (for one day), and $15 after 5 pm. The waterpark has lots of stuff to keep kids busy (we had two kids, and two 15 year olds with us). It was also VERY fun! Staff were friendly! Great view from the pool. Stunning.
The BAD:
On the 3rd level balcony, there are spiders that cover the doors, and seats outside, which makes it terrifying to go and sit and enjoy the breeze. There are also spiders near the pool (not the waterpark pool). May want to talk to maintenence and get them to target the spiders near the doors. Can't control them outside too much, but inside? You sure can try. The wristbands come off easily, so if you're at the waterpark and it comes off, try to find it. If you can't, go to the lobby and see if they'll replace it- they should, as they did that with mine and my best friends. The bed I slept in, the comforter had a tear in it about 4 inches long. It didn't impede us from sleeping in it, but that may be something they'd want to fix. If you're trying to get to any balconies, it's hard to navigate and the maps don't tell you how to get there. You have to do some wandering and find that out yourself, or ask staff if you can. We couldn't find the exercise room while we were there, but found it last minute. If you like working out at night, you won't be able to do it here, because the fitness room isn't 24 hours (like most hotels/resorts I've been to), and you have to ask someone if you don't know prior to coming. It opens at 9 am and closes at 11 pm.

All in all, I'd say my experience was pretty okay. Great views! If you come here, have fun, beware of spiders, and enjoy...
Read moreI liked this place because of the proximity to Cedar Point and the waterpark but there are a few downsides to the hotel itself. First, don't eat at mango mikes it's ridiculously overecpensive for a poor buffet and a bad let down. The rooms theirselves were average but there was torn sheet on my bed and it was a little dirty. Even being so close to the waterpark I smelled no chlorine in the room which was nice. There was a fairly large nice game room with some good games and good prizes for low amounts of tickets. The waterpark was nicely done with nice decorations and fun watersheds for its size. Also, they had a very nice indoor-outdoor hot tub which was very cool. All in all it was a nice place but the rooms could be cleaned and more up to date but it's a...
Read moreThis marina is ok if you don't mind long walks from the parking lot to the boat docks. Also a long walk from your boat dock to the pool. The marina offers nice floating docks, fuel pumps, and pool. Oh, and all the free seagull and goose poop for the bottom of your shoes you'll ever need. ( see pictures ) It's a long slow ride from this marina out the channel to the bay. And before you actually get to the bay, there's a one lane bridge that can be a hassle to get through...
