Very disappointed long time customer. Recently updated their sashimi prices but portion size remains the same. Nigiri and Sashimi used to be the same price. Nigiri’s prices were the ‘old’ price. For the same amount it’s now roughly a $4-$6 difference depending on the fish. There’s been a lot of changes over the years and this one has us looking for new options. They used to give you warm/cold wet towels (depending on the season) to clean your hands. Free complementary edamame and your choice of desserts with a large meal. They also used to have reusable chopsticks instead of the disposable ones. They also used to play Ghibli-esque music that really set in the cozy Japanese vibes - it’s now weird pop music that doesn’t fit the restaurant. Missing Sushi Huku’s value 💔

We had a party of 4 for dinner at 7:45 pm on Monday, 3/25/24. We were seated right away. Plenty of parking. Quick service. Very chill, especially on a Monday night. I wore leggings and sneakers—very casual. We all split 2 appetizers and 7 rolls and it was the perfect amount of food. We could’ve gotten away with only 1 appetizer. We got Gyoza and Edamame, which were both great. For sushi, we got New Paige, Lambada, Pink Lady, Geisha, Tiger Eye, Home Depot, Super Crunch. The New Paige was definitely our favorite. The only one I personally wouldn’t get again was Tiger Eye. But seriously, everything was amazing. It came out to $32 per person, which is super reasonable. We all agree that we can’t wait to go back! Highly, highly recommend!

I came here out of random to eat out for a friend's birthday, so I had no kind of expectations for the restaurant. When I noticed they only supply chopsticks for eating utensils I was so relieved I ordered food that didn't really need a spoon or fork. I'm horrible with chopsticks lol. The waiter was very cool and helpful when I was trying to figure out what to eat that I've never tried before. I went with fried octopus and was not disappointed! If I were to come back it would be for that dish alone. I would recommend eating here, just be aware that you will need to know how to use chopsticks.

Writing this review while at the restaurant enjoying my meal. At first, I was skeptical of the small and indiscreet outer decor. I have stayed at the Atlanta Wyndham across the street for the past few months and never thought of visiting. Instantly upon entering you are greeted with an intimate but not claustrophobic space. The lighting and music are set at levels to enjoy a conversation. Unfortunately, this time is a solo trip for me. I am not overly hungry so I only ordered a small appetizer and a Chirashi bowl. Had I been in my normal mood I would have had miso soup and ginger salad with an edemmame side. Pleasantly surprised, my waitress brought all of those items to me with my asking and presumably without charge. While waiting just a few minutes, my appetizer was delivered by my waitress. At the time I was enjoying a pleasant citrus ginger salad dressing on my typical ginger salad and bowl of miso soup. I had ordered a Krab Rangoon type appetizer. One of my waitresses walked by and noticed my appetizer and areanged it in front of me, preparing my table symmetrically so that everything I was observing while eating was placed in a pleasing way, while also warning me of the scolding nature of my dish and saving my tongue from hours of agony! Having not started my appetizer, reasons only related to internal temperature, my waitress brought my Chirashi bowl. With a concerned look she asked if I was not enjoying my appetizer. How sweet of her to ask! I told her I had appreciated her warning when she stated her caring for all customers to have the best experience. So far so good! While not overly impressed with my choice of first dish, it was well prepared and would likely suit a pallet that enjoys a softer creamier texture. Now, on to the main dish. My eyes are elated to view a cornucopia of colors in a very pleasing arrangement of shashimi on rice. The rice was drizzled with well, I’m not sure what it is but it looks fantastic! The whole arrangement was presented so well, it was almost a disappointment to indulge in it! My two servers, yes I said two, visited me a few times to check on my status, to which I could only smile because my mouth was constantly stuffed. Only in sitting here alone, listening to the diners nearby, drone on about their business like so many business travelers from the hotel I frequent, am I truly excited that I am sharing this culinary experience with the you the reader rather than some weary salesman. As I close my meal, and then my eyes, I thank you for joining me today. It’s been a great experience and I hope you share your...

My husband and I went here today and we had a fabulous experience! Our service was great and most of our food was awesome.

We love sushi, we've had sushi from Minneapolis, DC & Charleston. We have been to ATL 5 times and this was our best experience so far. We went there specifically for their sushi. We sat at the sushi car, ordered 5 rolls and soup & salad came out within minutes.

They have a ginger, lemon peanut vinaigrette as their dressing which was delicious! The miso soup was ok.

We ordered the Hawaiian, Home Depot, Godzilla, Geisha & the Baked Salmon rolls.

Hawaii: Phenomenal! The chef makes it with coconut shrimp. I loved it because it does not have any sauce on top of it.

Home Depot: Also phenomenal! This is made with fried sea scallops with a cream sauce on top that was great!

Godzilla: This was ok. This roll was made really large (2x the size of a normal roll). It was deep fried and drench in a a nonviscous brown sauce that wasn't sweet. The roll fell apart because it was not rolled tight. I would not recommend this roll.

Geisha: This was the normal plenty of fish with sauce roll, similar to a rainbow roll.

Baked Salmon Roll: This was interesting. We did not care for it. The roll consisted of salmon & parmesan cheese on top, then baked. The cheese added a different flavor that we did not like with our sushi.

The waitresses were really nice and on top of their game. I had plenty of water! The sushi chef gave us some japanese rice and seaweed to go because we were "out of towers", it was on the house. It was mighty nice of him! We would definitely go back to try their...

I have been here multiple times over the years but I won't be back after my most recent experience.

I have some excellent sushi spots in Atlanta, but they are expensive and I wanted to go somewhere that had good sushi but would not cost an arm and a leg. Sushi Huku apparently is not that place. There were 5 of us and we each had an appetizer and sushi rolls. There were 2 glasses of wine. Our bill was over $400.

I would not be as turned off by the price if everyone enjoyed their meals but my wife never got one of her rolls and when she mentioned it to the waiter to told her it had come out already and did not offer to get her a roll. If it had come out, it looked nothing like what she thought she ordered. Also, the crab was not edible and went untouched.

The sushi itself was not bad at all. But it wasn't worth the money.

This place has been around a long time, in an area with not a lot of selection for sushi. It's old Atlanta and probably why it's lasted so long. Now, there are many...
