Waffle House — Restaurant in Sandy Springs

I don’t come here that often, but it’s near my husbands office so I occasionally drop by for a meal. Even though this is a Waffle House, I hold them to the same standards as pretty much any breakfast establishment, probably higher.

I like to sit at the bar when I’m alone, it gives me the opportunity to observe the dynamics behind the counter.

My “salesperson’s” name was “South”. I don’t like to mention names in reviews unless it merits recognition. Like her namesake she’s full of charm and personality. Excellent friendly service!

The staff is like watching a synchronized swim team, extremely efficient. These people really enjoy working together and it shows. They like to chat but it doesn’t take away from their performance.

My cashier’s name was “Amber”. In a transaction that could have been a quick take your money and go, she took the time to ask if I wanted some coffee to go, and addressed me by name, by simply looking at the credit card for the transaction. She didn’t have to because my face is on the card.

It’s small details like this that separate a successful business from businesses that are simply getting by.

This Waffle House is seated literally next to a Wyndham and across from a McDonald’s & a Starbucks. They could easily just get by from the steady clientele from the hotel. But they go above and beyond...

This location has an employee/server name MERCEDES and she is absolutely disguting and rude.

When me and my boyfriend arrived all the tables were filthy so we sat at a table and patiently waited for someone to approach us and clean the table so we could properly be seated and order our food.

We sat and waited at the dirty table for 10 minutes and the employee MERCEDES asked us in a very nasty tone, "are we dining in or ordeding take out?" I said dining in and waiting to get service. She walked away and someone told her to asisst our table and clean it and she came over to the table with very standoffish energy and rushed cleaning the table and I politely asked her does the rag she's cleaning with have any santizing spray and she said "NO" and threw the rag and told everyone in the kitchen "SOMEBODY CLEAN THAT TABLE CUS IM NOT".

We were totally appalled at the very nasty and disguting attitude she had and she should never be allowed to serve ANYONE as long as her nasty aura and energy is present. She apparently is pregnant and hates her job but should not take that out on everybody inside the establishment. This location gets a 1/5 rating from me solely due to service. Do not let...

I visited this Waffle house right at 3am last night. Was not greeted by the staff but didnt think nothing of it.. Waited for some customers to pay for their order. I was next as it is "Take Out" only. A group of 3 came in after me. Obviously they had been there before. The waitress Nikki greeted the group with a smile and started to take their order until I intervened and stated that I was before them. She took my order and immediately took the groups order after I finished. Then proceeded to call all of our order together as if we're in the same party. Some how some way the group of 3 recieved there order and left the building before me. Finally she tells me my order is ready.. i informed Nikki that my order should have been ready before that groups order. The cook even agreed. I was very shocked and appalled at the situation. I hope Nikki find her place in the world because customer isn't it. Needless to say I wasted 40 minutes for an Allstar breakfast that didn't make it out the door with me. Im not going back to this...
