I hate that I cannot add a new review. I feel that my last review is important to keep up but being that I’m a Louisiana girl & this is the closest Seafood place to me, I returned to give them another try after a few months. I was served my Marvelous today. He was very attentive, polite, & provided top tier service. I’d give him 5 stars!
I eat at this place at least once a week and never have an issue. Today must have been __ w/ Amandah day b/c I went to 3 other locations to get food before coming to Juicy but decided to leave due to servers attitudes and lack of customer service, so after experiencing that I figure, let me go to Juicy, they never let me down. Well…. My intentions initially were to dine in, after a few minutes, I decided to take my food to go so that I could finish my workload. I ordered the #1 combo with an extra crab cluster. I returned home, settled, and when I attempted to fix my plate, I realized I did not receive my extra crab cluster. I returned to Juicy, expressed my concerns, & waited for my order to be fixed. When the manager brought my food out to me I was slightly distracted on the phone but he explained that the #1 combo comes w/ 1 full cluster and a smaller one to accommodate the lb., I explained to him that I understood that but I’d also purchased an extra cluster. That exchange should have warranted me to check my bag but I didn’t thinking they couldn’t possibly screw my order up again. Well, they did. I get home to much of the same order I’d returned, only now not only does it not contain the extra cluster but its missing the corn and potatoes that comes with the order as well. At this point, its 9:36pm, I haven’t eaten all day, & the bs from today has caused me to lose my appetite.
To the owners reply b/c I can’t seem to reply directly to it:
That is incorrect. When you brought the food out to me, you only clarified that I’d purchased the #1 combo and that it usually comes with 1 full crab cluster and a smaller portion to accommodate for the lb and that the order had been remade with a little more crab, you never mentioned that the additional cluster was never added to my original order for purchase. So again, when you handed my order to me and indicated that “a little more crab” had been added, I assumed my order had been fixed. It wasn’t until I returned to Juicy for a 3rd time to request my receipt, because my original receipt was never replaced in the bag you handed to me, that I’d learned the extra crab was never added to my order for purchase. And it wasn’t until I returned home from requesting that receipt, that I’d learned my order was missing the corn and potatoes; yet another oversight on my part b/c my attention was focused on the crab, nevertheless, this all resulted in wasted money, time, energy, & gas, thanks! And the only reason I’m not uploading pictures is b/c the data on my...
Read moreI ordered “to-go” from this restaurant and regret the drive and money that I spent to pick up my order. When I walked in I went straight to the front desk and announced my name and that I placed a to-go order through door dash. I immediately began eying the bags behind the front desk host, looking for my name. He glanced over the bags and missed my name, but I had spotted it and said “it’s that bag right there”, he was very hesitant to give me the bag without seeing “verification” of my order. Excuse me? What verification do you need to see for me to pick up a crab dinner in a bag - my bank statement? I showed him the confirmation email that I received and also showed him the live receipt/tracking status that was available from the website that I placed the order though (door dash). I anxiously jumped from app to app on my phone trying to prove to the seafood front desk associate that I purchased my food and was there to pick up the bag that I walked in, detailing and inquiring for. What really made me frustrated was that after showing all of my “proof” to the front desk and stating how I wasn’t picking an order up for someone else, that it was for myself, his response was, “interesting”. He finally handed over the bag. I’ve never felt so hassled when going to a food establishment to PICK UP AN ORDER. If you want to be so fancy then you all should have a better system for categorizing actual door dasher orders vs food that’s placed for the customer themselves via door dash - not my fault. I walked out with food then immediately walked back in to speak with a manager, so no I will not be contacting anyone to further discuss this issue. I don’t want anything from you all for free or at a discounted price because 1, my food tasted like a more salty, less flavorful version of Juicy Crab and 2, the service that I experienced was horrible!!! I want to be as ridiculous as the host was earlier, I’ll tell everyone at any chance I get…I have the...
Read moreSeems like I've been waiting for this place to open for a year now! I'm sure the pandemic set it back. Just as I was about to post this review, the Manager, Courtney, asked me for my honest feedback and I was happy to provide it.
Upon entering the establishment everyone was friendly and inviting! It was fairly empty. Maybe two other parties were seated. I was seated promptly but it took about 10 minutes to order. Another 10 minutes later, my server brought out a bucket, which contained: a bib, gloves, and wipes. I then had to remind her I was still waiting for my sweet tea and that was then brought to me immediately. My server was friendly and that goes a long way! All I need is my server to ensure my glass stays full...no need to check on me a million times cuz I'm low maintenance. Checking up on me was just right cuz I don't like being interrupted too much.
I had the pick 2: Shrimp & Crab legs, which came with 2 potatoes and 1 piece of corn. I chose hot garlic butter for the sauce. "Hot" WAS NOT HOT! It was more like mild and my waitress alluded to that's what might happen, when I initially said "medium", which then would've tasted like mild. The hot tasted like mild. No kick at all! No liquor license as of today, 8/22/21, but you can BYOB and there is a liquor store at the other end of the plaza, next to the Goodwill (aka old Kroger).
I will say that it was flavorful and not too salty! I was pleasantly surprised for my first time being at one of these "seafood boil in a bag" spots! Now that I think about it, I wish I had 2 more potatoes...but that's just me being greedy, I guess!
I'll be back to support...
