Anja bar and lounge — Local services in Sandy Springs

I chose this place based on reviews and social media. They market themselves as "grown and sexy." I made a reservation for 10 people last week, and when I called twice leading up to the event, no one answered—RED FLAG. When we arrived, they told us they’d have to split our party because a smaller group had taken the only table large enough for us. She claimed they don't actually check the app they used to book reservations, so they have no idea party sizes will be coming in..WHAT?! LOL. The waitress suggested asking the other party to move, but I refused. Why should another group be inconvenienced due to poor planning? The men in our group were seated separately in a booth next to us. We should’ve left, but against my better judgment, we stayed.

Things went downhill. The food was cold, dry, and overly salty, except for one fresh dish. My wings were cold to the touch and extremely salty, so I sent them back. The same issue happened at the other table. The waitress became rude, throwing plates and yelling at staff. We asked to see the manager, but he only apologized for the table mix-up and deflected the food issue.

When we decided to leave, the waitress ignored our attempts to get the check. When she finally came, she read the bills instead of providing paper copies, so we asked for the printed bills. She overcharged us for drinks—8 total, even though we each had 2. She claimed my husband’s double shot counted as two drinks. She eventually handed me $40, I assume as a refund.

When a place automatically adds gratuity, expect subpar service since they’re getting a tip no matter what. Social media can be deceiving. This place promised good food, drinks, and music. No issue with the drinks and music, but the service and food...

We already know going into these type of establishments, you're paying way more than you would at a regular restaurant so we expected $75 plus tabs for basic stuff but we were also expecting a great experience, which we didn't have.

Tried this place instead of going to Fade and Facet and I'm not happy with my decision. We sat at the bar, the bartenders were nice enough. As soon as we sat down, this man was at the bar ordering a shot and was complaining about the fact that his single shot was $20 plus the automatic gratuity had it at $25.

We ordered a drink, $18. Drink wasn't bad, but I could have gone to a Longhorns for a stronger cheaper drink. I ordered a burger, which I had to wait well over 30 mins for and fries that were really potatoes wedges (which I dont eat). The bartender kept apologizing which I appreciated her for. She gave me a shot but I would have perferred if they hadnt chargd me $2 for that single piece of bacon they put on it. The burger was good ($19), the fries, barley done and came out 10-15 mins after my burger, which made no sense to me at all. And I'm extremely disappointed that after waiting 45 for my food, they still put everything on my burger I asked them not to. Like seriously? SMH. We also had lemon pepper wings ($18) which werent bad, but not amazing. My friend had the pasta ($30) and hated it but it came out in a timely fashion. The only really great thing about this place was the DJ! Her song selection was really good. I'd love to go to another place she's playing at.

My first time coming to this lounge I must say wasn't what Instagram raves about. The waitress AJ gets a t star 🌟 because she was attentive very courteous and kept checking on me. The manager in the other hand was giving very weird vibes first he sat a a table behind me didn't know he was there but could feel like I was being watched. When I looked behind me he was with a very mean just had a mean mug look no greet at all. So I received my wings and crabs legs I ate only 2 out of 10 because they smelled funny and just looked and tasted old not fresh at all. The crabs were okay very over seasoned like high blood pressure heavy seasoning. When I told waitress that I think the manager should discount or take the wings off he refused and instead said do I want another crab order so a $2 uncharge for the crabs $2 not issue the issue is I have never been to a restaurant in my 56 yrs that didn't compensate or make it right 🤔 so this is where my review comes in. The manager first time speaking to me is to ask me what's wrong with the wings I told I am not sure I don't like em but after sitting there and looking at them and the nasty after-taste in my mouth is when I knew the wings taste old and stale. You couldn't visibly see it with the lighting and it was covered in the sauce. I will never go back because I didn't appreciate driving an hour to support this restaurant my own people and received this service a restaurant get one strike with me especially when I am a cheffette myself that could have made this 1000%...
