This was the most disgusting food I have ever eaten. I walk up to the door to open it for my companion and all of the employees must be in high school and are hanging out in the dining area with other kids their age who I assume are their friends. The other "customers" give us a look like "what are they doing here?" the employees go back to their stations in no apparent hurry and look a bit bothered by our intrusion. The employees take our order and have our food ready and on the counter before I have my credit card back in my bill fold. At first I think must have miss judged these poor innocent kids and they must have all just been on break at the same time and that I need to work on not being so judgmental. I then sit down to enjoy my meal that I had Just purchased with my hard earned money. I open the box to my country fried steak and potatoes with a side of mac and cheese. It reminds me of school lunch back in elementary school, I tell myself that it does not mean it will taste bad and remind myself not to be so judgmental... I excitedly cut into the fried steak with mashed potatoes and gravy on top and was expecting some sort of glutinous bliss with a side of nostalgia. Well... I'm sorry to say it was utterly disgusting. It tasted like it had been sitting under a red heat lamp for more than a week. It tasted of strong preservatives and some sort of freeze dried funk from 1984. I had a hard time trying to tell the difference between all three dinner items even when eaten one at a time with many swigs of what I hope was water in between each dreadful bite. After my sixth bite I could not go on any longer, I had to end this nightmare once and for all! I lifted up my tray off of the table and threw its contents into the trash... I will never come back to this place and I hope the manager knows whats going on in his store. Its disgraceful not only to the owner but to KFC as company and I hope this place gets shut down. This was not my first bad experience at this establishment but I gave it a second chance after 4 years and it was the same story all over again. Do yourself a favor and stay far away...
Read moreSo this is a controversial five stars, and here's why: just prior to arriving here I downloaded the KFC app I then proceeded to order a meal on the app but no matter what I did the app would not accept my payment method even though I switched between multiple different payment methods! I then gave up on that we got to the window and I told them what my order was and the total that the gentleman working the window gave me was nearly $5 higher than what the app advertised. At first I was quite frustrated and disappointed that I was unable to get this order taken care of because the food was for a special occasion for my mom. So I persisted and I asked the gentleman why it was that the app was providing me one price where he kept telling me a price much higher, he asked to see my phone, and after failing to get the app to work for him either he told me don't worry I will take care of it and handed my phone back. Now I've had a couple of situations with McDonald's recently that have been marginally similar and are reminding me that the days of the customer always being right are days that are gone. With this KFC location in Sandy Utah that's not the case at all! The gentleman working there went into the kitchen retrieved my order and brought it to me free of charge all the while apologizing for the inconvenience and thanking me for my business! I immediately started digging in my pocket for my wallet to pay him and he insisted that it was already taken care of not to worry about it and he hoped I had a great meal and that he would see me again soon! I must say I'm not a frequent shopper at KFC but the management there can rest assured that whenever I am in that area if I'm hungry I will be going there and not McDonald's or any other fast food location! Thank you very much for your hospitality, consideration and down to earth's customer service that is what true professionalism...
Read moreI love KFC, I worked at KFC as a manager for a few years, so it’s very upsetting for me to be giving another location a ONE star. I pulled up in the drive thru to order after only one other car was in front of me, I was asked to hold on, which is totally acceptable, I understand that it might’ve been busy INSIDE. Where are the front workers? Why are they understaffed? From the reviews I see that this location being understaffed is typically a problem. I went to the management workshops, why isn’t the manager scheduling correctly? I went to order my food and the lady was very abrupt and rude, did NOT follow Harmon’s script at all. I thanked her for taking my order, and she just said “yep” very monotone and rudely. I started slowly pulling up and waited in line for a long time (aren’t the cars being timed?! I’m Washington where I was a manager, we got everyone through very quickly!) I finally pulled up to the window, no one was there for about 2 minutes, when this lady came walking up, didn’t say hi or anything, just told me my total, I gave her my money and she gave me my change, gave me my bag of food, and I thanked her, she said “yep” once again, and then started talking to a coworker on the headset. She gave me my drink, and I drove away. I parked RIGHT across the street at my sons daycare and got my famous bowl out... you can tell they had either previously prepped the bowl with the chicken in it already, or they served me old popcorn chicken. Popcorn chicken only take about 4 minutes to cook and is “good” for an hour, this was WAY past the time. NOT TO MENTION THAT THE PERSON WHO WAS SERVING ME WAS THE MANAGER. I’m very upset, step up...
