Ordered online. Ordered the szechwan chicken with fried rice. The ordering process was simple and straightforward and I was impressed by the prices. A plate at Panda Express costs upwards of $10 now and these entrees on lunch special were around $9 each. (Prices outside of lunch (11a - 4p): around $12) And honestly, well worth the price. The food was fresh, hot, and delicious. The fried rice was cooked to perfection and tasted great. The szechwan chicken was tender, juicy and flavorful. The veggies were freshly cut, crispy, and very satisfying. The szechwan sauce was the right amount of flavorful, spicy, and peppery with a very slight sweetness. I decided to eat my takeout order inside the restaurant for convenience sake. Unpacking my order, the takeout container was wrapped in Saran wrap which kept the warmth inside the container. Also the utensils, fortune cookie, and soy sauce were wrapped in Saran wrap as well, keeping them neatly contained together. While I ate, I was offered a glass of water which was ice cold and a great way to wash down my meal. The atmosphere within the restaurant was a nice, cozy experience with light classical music playing over the sound system. There wasn't anyone in the restaurant while I ate beside the restaurant staff, which made for a homely, comfortable eating experience.
This was a very enjoyable dining experience that I would definitely want to experience again.
My only regret about the restaurant is I didn't tip more. A problem I can solve on...
Read moreLooking at the reviews made us hesitate but we wanted some take out. Here's an honest evaluation, one of which is not bias, because I am not picky, nor do I have a preferred restaurant to compare it to.
The General Tsao and Sweet and Sour chicken were very bland. The chicken itself tasted like decent quality meat but both the sauce and actual chicken were very flavorless. The texture was good. I used my own sauce at home. Because it was just boring, I'd give it a generous 6.5/10.
We didn't think the General Tsao chicken would come with veggies. We love veggies, but these also were not preapred well so we tossed them. They appeared to be sauteed in oil halfway and not seasoned.
The fried rice is definitely the worst I have ever had. Fried rice is usually leftover rice on the pan with some meat, veggies or sauces, but whatever they did just made it taste bland and weird. Just icky rice by itself. You could easily fry your own leftover rice with soy sauce alone and achieve a better rice than this. Not sure how they messed that up. 2/10
Cream cheese wontons 9/10 for flavor, but slightly soggy.
The beef was more seasoned than anything else and it was tender so I'd give the beef chow mein a 6.5/10. The noodles were good. Bean sprouts were mushy.
Overall, we give a 2/5-3/5 because it was edible and they wrapped our food very well in seran wrap...
Read moreMy boyfriend and I ordered delivery tonight here and we were excited to try it, just to be serverly disappointed. The orange chicken had a very odd taste, it didn't taste fresh at all burnt and metal tasting. Wor Wonton Soup (which I was most excited about) the broth was watered down and had very little meat with huge pieces of broccoli. The Moo Goo Gai Pan was the best tasting thing we got, but the chicken did taste very similar to canned chicken. Ham fried rice was very very dry. All the food was very bland, little flavor. We have so much food left and we will not be going for seconds. We are not picky eaters so this is saying alot. We did call the restaurant, and was told that we are the only ones that have had a bad word to say about the food, he then kept saying we ate all the food, and asked us how many restaurants we have called to get a refund after we ate all the food. We kept having to explain that we took a few bites of everything, but that was it. He then demanded we bring the food back into the restaurant. Worst customer service ever! I want to share the picture of the food that will be soon thrown away, such a waste. We are not some scam artists trying to get a refund from restaurants, we can afford food and are happy to pay for good food and customer service. This was aweful we do...
