I've never been so impressed with a restaurant. The sushi was truly incredible, so delicious I had to keep ordering more and now I have a stomach ache from being so full. We split several rolls between the two of us, the "no name roll", the Mars roll, the romantic roll, the smoked salmon roll (tied with no name as our favorite), and four others, and the total was less than $70. The pricing was very good especially for the taste. Serving sizes were good - you likely will need a couple rolls to be satiated, but they seemed similar size to most sushi restaurants. The ambiance was great, while they used silk flowers, they did a wonderful job of making it a very nice atmosphere. Having the hanging flowers outside the window made it feel like you were sitting beneath a flowering cherry tree. The service was good, the food came out quickly and was very fresh. They served us in multiple runs so we weren't waiting for long before we got to nom on more sushi. The only caveat that I would make is that the menu shows rather expensive prices, however, after asking they did say that it was 50% off. Some menu items did not qualify and were noted as such, but the pricing gimmick was a little...
Read moreThe first time I came here was great. The food was amazing and it made me want to come for more. My boyfriend and I went back a week later and the service was terrible. It was a Sunday afternoon (2/4/23) and our server was not on point. First she wasn’t very friendly when it came to wanting to seat us and then we sat there waiting for her to even greet us. She never even offered us water. It was ok busy but not that busy to not check on us. As a former server and bartender I could of handled that on my own. She kept ignoring us and would just help other tables. She even had enough time to sit on her phone while waiting on other orders at the sushi bar and EVEN had time to set utensils at the table right NEXT to us without even looking at us. 15 minutes went by without a hello or water. It’s too bad because I loved the food there and we ended up walking out. They didn’t even seem like they had a care in the world. Come on people, if you want your business to thrive start with the service. Word of mouth spreads fast. And regret recommending this place to friends. That robot they have there could of done...
Read moreWe went for lunch on a Tuesday, maybe that's where we went wrong. The huge "Sushi half off" sign should have been all the warning I needed, but I've been driving by this place for a few years and all the reviews I read were positive. I decided to give it a chance. The dining area was well arranged and clean and the hostess/server was polite and attentive. A trip to the men's restroom showed me the dark reality of the establishment. Reminisent of a rest stop I found myself in need of on the interstate, I just wanted my hands and baked out slowly. Anyway, the food. The gyoza, shrimp poppers and seaweed salad were top shelf. Perfect temps, textures and great flavors. We had an assortment of specialty sushi rolls that ranged from "not bad" to "what is this." The worst was the TNT Roll. I'm not sure there was even any fish in this roll. It tasted like hot chicken salad on rice. Almost every selection is topped with multiple mayo based sauces. I mean.. jeez, rather than providing a real sushi experience, I feel like this place is experimenting with how many sauces it takes to make catfood taste good to...
