This isn't the first time I've had this same exact issue with this McDonald's, but it will be the last. Granted I went there late, it was 2:45 AM, I work third shift, and was on break. I was the only person at the drive thru, the woman who was taking orders snapped that they were only taking cash, which wasn't a big deal. I ordered a Large Double Quarter Pounder Meal with a coke and 2 Double Cheese Burgers. as I was pulling forward, the woman screamed again that they were only taking cash.
When I got to the window, there was a man standing there, who wasn't wearing any sort of uniform. He told me my total was $15 even, which seemed odd, I handed him a $20 dollar bill and watched as he fumbled with a key to open the register, which again seemed really odd to me, then once he finally opened the drawer he spent a solid 2 minutes, not even kidding, grabbing bills and putting them back in, after all that, he only gave me $4.50. I was confused and he told me that "if I was curious about the change it was because I'm was lazy and not to tell my boss." I told him that he shorted me 50¢ which shouldn't even be an issue considering he owed me $5 even. That's when he told me that the order was actual $15.50. So I asked for the receipt, just to double check. That's when he told me that they couldn't give me a receipt because their registers were down, and they were writing orders down as they were coming in. I'm not quite sure how they came up with the process, but whatever and gave up on trying to get the 50¢ he owed me.
After about 15 minutes, he came back to the window and asked me what my order was again, I was getting upset at this point, but told him my order again. He said okay and walked back out behind the window.
Then, about 10 minutes after that, he told me to pull ahead and they'd bring the order to me. So I pulled forward by the door and shut off my engine considering I'd been tthere for a half hour with the engine running wasting gas.
Another 15 minutes later they finally brought out my meal. Again I showed up at 2:45 AM, and didn't leave there until 3:30.
The fries were half full, and burnt, I received a single quarter in a double quarter pounder box, and everything was ice cold.
I really wasn't going to write this review, but I emailed McDonald's about this 2 days ago and haven't heard a word back about this, not so much as a confirmation email.
If you're a manager there, I highly suggest you take a look at your cameras Tuesday September 29, at 2:45 AM and find out what your crew was...
Read moreI normally do not write reviews but as a business owner, if I had an employee speaking to my customers the way I was just spoken to then I would definitely want to know about it. My truck was not setting off the buzzer so I drove to the order window and attempted to place my order there. I was told very rudely and abruptly that I could not order at that window and that I needed to drive around to the other parking lot and wait for someone to come out and take my order. I politely said "I am only looking for a number 8 and will gladly wait." She then told me again that I could not order and that if I did not get out of line she would have to call the police. I was completely shocked at her saying this to me and said I was only trying to save her having to walk to me to take my order and that I felt she was very rude. I asked who she was and she told me "Sammy manager in training" and that "I could leave right now or she could call 9-1-1 but it's your choice". Then she left the window I assumed to call the cops. Of course I left because I did not want problems. I would like to point out that there were no cars in line behind me except for one who pulled up as I was leaving and this entire conversation with sammy was less than 30 seconds in total. In other words in less than 30 seconds of polite conversation I had the manager of the store calling 9-1-1 on me. I was not rude and did not do anything to provoke or warrant this kind of an action. I was and still am completely shocked by this behavior. It seemed as if she was in a hurry to just get rid of me. I felt the vibe immediately that she was going to intentionally make me wait longer and maybe do something to my food. I would not feel comfortable going to this location ever again knowing this person works here as my vehicle is unique and would easily point me out. This is definitely not the type of person that I would want representing me or...
Read moreI’m done going here. Every time, and I mean every time, the fries are cold like they’ve been sitting there for 40 minutes. It has been this way for months, if not years. Every time I think they may have improved, nope just the same. Both Sanford McDonalds needs new ownership or to shut the doors until they can figure it out. How many complaints does it take for improvements? Read all these reviews, most of them talking about the cold fries. Everybody that works here needs to be fired, then fired again. Last night I went there and spent $40 just for my whole order to be old and cold. All the employees, managers, owners needs to take notes from the Wells location.
This world will be a much better place when we can replace low skilled workers with AI. The sooner we get that the better we will all be. Doesn’t matter how much you pay these people. They still won’t care about their job and the work...
