A great little place that I had unfortunately overlooked for a while because of the plaza that it's in. It's somewhat easy to pass by, so I'm glad that I did a little research online before setting out. I had a hankering for Greek and Taksim happened to come up in my search. Being in close proximity, I decided to give it a chance and I'm glad that I did. You can order online, but I chose to go in. The restaurant is in the location that was formerly a 7/11 and there's only so much that one could expect for 'atmosphere' but they did an okay job with it. The built in coolers are noticeable, but not too distracting. The food was fantastic! I ordered a gyro combo and was stuffed by the time that I had finished just the sandwich! It was hot, quite fresh tasting, and very flavorful! You definitely get your money's worth here. One of the things that I really appreciated on my visit was the service. The young lady was very friendly, efficient, and personable. I had expected a longer wait time, as having just walked in off of the street, than what I did. I ordered take out, as I had other things to tend to, but I believe that the service would have been just as great if I had dined in. Parking wasn't an issue. There are several businesses in the plaza, and the parking lot can get full, but I had no issues in finding a spot. There is a ramp, so wheelchair parking and entrance into the business isn't an issue either. Inside, there is plenty of room available if you use a wheel chair to maneuver and also to be able to set at a table. Overall, it was a very good experience and I can see myself visiting and patronizing their business more often. It's a great alternative to the typical burgers, tacos, pizza, and...
Read moreAttention: * Dine in, and & probably take out & Delivery customers of Taksim Turkish Grill. That establishment never mention or has a single sign letting you know in advance that transactions done by payment with a credit card come with the (hidden) extra charge of 4% (on top of the total bill) that is added using that payment method. Basically you are paying their own charge to the credit card for that transaction in addition to your own interest you are paying for the card) Abuse #2 is when they are handing you the little 'convenient' hand held devise to punch the choices of Tips they prefer. (Luckily you can override it and chose your on) But if you decide (easier) to chose one on that screen, (Warning:) * it is programed to calculates the final Tip on top of the Total bill + Sales Tax (6.8%) + credit card (4%) charge. Since you can't figure it out, nothing will be mentioned here either.( I can bet they will give you the 'surprise look' as if they just, for the first time learned about it too- you tell them) demand a printed detailed receipt to see it to be able to calculate it. We are all even now. The Business doing it to you and you (customer) know about it (in advance). If you caught it, and complain, they'll offer to pay it all in cash instead, (save the 4% CC extra charge). when complaining they are honest and flexible :) ?. OK. - the food is good, atmosphere as in any take out place 1-2 but as it was mentioned in many other reviews - $$ 'Pricy.' Personally I don't like that type of Family establishments 'Monkey business' (Transparency, honesty VS Creative tasks for survival) I guess - I...
