We were seated quickly at 5 pm on Saturday night at a booth. The table tops were well worn and could use a refinish but the booth was comfortable and was generous on space. We started with a cup of queso and chips and salsa. The chips weren’t my favorite, they’re on the thicker side and tasted like they were slightly over cooked. The salsa however was delicious and not too spicy. The queso tasted like it would be delicious on enchiladas but wasn’t my taste for just dipping. It was very creamy with little to now flavor other than the American cheese. We did add a bunch of salsa to it and it tasted really good after our modifications. We ordered the chile relleno with beef and ranchero sauce and chicken fajitas. My husband loved the his meal and said we would definitely go back. The fajita skillet had nicely carmelized onions, red peppers and green peppers. The chicken had a good flavor, was moist and cut into generous slices. The rice and beans were on average with other Tex Mex restaurants I’ve been to. The guacamole was excellent. I prefer my guacamole without a bunch of fillers and this one was perfect. The tortillas did not seem homemade but did the job well. My husband had a Dos Equis that was served in a frosted cup and was delicious. Our waiter was attentive and quick to help. The worst part of the meal was that the temperature outside dropped 20 degrees while we were inside and every time the door opened the frigid wind could be felt at our booth. This problem could’ve been solved if they’d closed the glass doors and created an airlock between the outer doors and the foyer doors, but they were kept open even after I asked them to close it. I don’t see the is as a major issue. If you’re sensitive to temperature changes ask for a seat away from the doors. Overall it was a really good meal and we’ll definitely make the drive back to Sanger for more good food.

One standard I have to grade quality Tex-Mex is the salsa. Miguelito's salsa is superior - not too hot, or mild, tasty with the right amount of chilies, cilantro, tomato base, thickness, and seasoning. I got a combination plate #1. The taco served separately was superb - it even came with avocado . The main plate had three different enchiladas - the two different cheese sauces (colors) were beautiful . They were wonderful. The tamale was the best that I have had in many years - next time I will ask how they make it! I also had their tortilla soup - THAT should be a "Signature Dish"! I make tortilla soup - because a good one is hard to find. This was off the Richter Scale fabulous. The SERVICE WAS POOR - I had to ask several times for more salsa - before getting it. The Mexican wait-staff-owners-family (whoever) never smiled - and not once - appeared to have any interest in my accommodation. Quite frankly, they all appeared dour, sullen, and unfriendly. (3rd time here). So why the 5*?? Because the Tex-Mex food is so delectable.

We come here when we travel to Ft.Worth from Oklahoma...have stopped many times...but I think this was it.. first the water 💧 was horrible...then the salsa was off...? ...queso was good...we had cheese enchilada with beef taco..taco shell was wet on bottom from grease of meat.. the chili sauce tasted like old can chili that had been reused to much. Last.... the server...did a good job at getting things to us..but...I paid him for my ticket with cc and asked him to break a 20 with some 5's and one's...he came back and said I gave you fives....which forced me to leave him basically a 25% tip...I don't like being forced into an issue...nor should I have to ask a 2nd time to bring me change.. Anyway we were both very disappointed with this visit ...đŸ˜ȘđŸ˜Ș😔

My daughter ate here today with her best friends family for the first time today(we are from California) and to her disappointment the beans were spoiled. Needless to say this would ruin anyones meal and they didn't continue to eat the rest of their food. When it was brought to the attention of the server the plates were removed and no other alternative was offered at that time. When her best friends mom pressed the issue they were offered their plates back or if they would like the new batch of beans they just opened (obviously they are canned) but with the original food that had already been in contact with the spoiled beans which obviously she refused. They didn't offer any compensation nor refund for their negligence. When a partial refund was requested the manger informed them he would only take off $5 from a $50 bill due to no one else ever complaining about their bean. I do think this is unacceptable and this location should be held accountable for this. DO NOT EAT HERE !!!! They obviously do not care about their customers health.

  • IN RESPONSE to Jose Huertas response *""

This family has been going to the restaurant for over 2 years and not once complained about their food, they were not looking for a free meal and my daughter is not a liar. The canned beans you were serving were spoiled so instead of calling a long term customer a liar how about you actually act your role as a manager and fix your customers concern instead of trying to hide your kitchens mistake. I will be following up with this not only with your boss but with the health department as well this mistake should not be taken lightly and the fact that you can disregard the safety issue with selling spoiled beans makes me question your judgment and feel that management isn't the role for you and maybe your boss should actually find someone else who actually cares about their customers instead of calling them a liar by making false accusations not only to their face but on their response to this review. Also if your beans are fresh please explain why they were asked if they wanted their plates back with the new beans that were just opened up also the "nasty note" you claim that was left only spoke some friendly advice " you shouldn't serve spoiled beans â˜č". And the reason why the server wasn't tipped is due to their attitude especially when he slammed their bill down on the table. If you would have just handled this properly this review could have been positive this to family was not fishing for a free meal and would have been more than happy with the following options , 1) if you would have apologized and asked them if the kitchen could remake their order with the new batch of beans you all just opened up. Or 2) been offered to get something else instead. But instead the plates were taken away(they only had them 5 mins or less before the bean were brought to your attention) and were never given back their plates at all so they paid full price for steak that had 2 bites taken out of it and rice and 1 half eaten enchilada and spoiled beans. The mom had no issue paying full price for her meal since she did not order beans but did have an issue paying full for the two other meals. As a manager you really need to pay attention to how long food is left out for, just because beans were supposedly made that Day does not mean they can be left out all day especially when it's hot!!! Also to those that don't know better beans are not supposed to...

Food bland, service pathetic!

My name is Joel Janes, I'm a truck driver, and Miguelito's was recommended to me by a cashier at a Love's truck stop not too far from the restaurant.

Atmosphere was good, hostess who seated me was friendly and nice, but my "waiter" sucked (don't know his name, but he was working the section all the way to the right as you enter the front door).

First, he was arguing with the hostess and trying to get her to seat me somewhere else because he wanted to go home early (it was only 7:45pm) ... AND HE DID IT RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME!!! Second, there were other waiters checking on me after he brought my entree, because he pretty much disappeared (the hostess actually gave me my last tea refill), and now the worst.

HE LITERALLY THREW MY ENTREE PLATES DOWN IN FRONT OF ME WHEN HE BROUGHT THEM, MAKING THEM BANG SO LOUDLY I SAW PEOPLE SEATED IN THE SECTION NEXT TO HIS LOOKING OVER TO SEE WHAT HAPPENED! THE PLATE WITH THE TACO AND GUACAMOLE HIT SO HARD MOST OF THE CHEESE CAME OUT OF THE TACO AND SCATTERED ON THE TABLE, AND IT LITERALLY BROKE THE SHELL ALL THE WAY DOWN THE BOTTOM FROM END TO END, SO IT FELL APART JUST PICKING IT UP ... BEFORE I COULD EVEN TRY TO TAKE A BITE!!!

That being said, the food was pretty good (I got combo number one), and the prices were good, although the portions (rice, beans, guacamole) were a little small and the queso was bland. The sweet tea wasn't too sweet and was good, and everyone EXCEPT HIM was really nice.

Don't think I'll be back though. One a-hole that didn't want to do his job ruined the meal and the experience. He should've...
