1st visit: This fun little burger place is hidden away but open to the public! You don't need a permit to park in front of here to eat a burger. The permit parking is for PAST the permit parking sign, which is on the side of the building. The ambiance is comfortable and quiet. There is a lot of natural lighting but also sounds echo a lot so it kinda feels like you're in a boat.

The pasta special was NOTHING like what we expected. It was actually kinda gross considering it advertised a "chipotle Chicken Pasta" that had zero spice and the "roasted chipotle sauce" tasted like a ton of sugar was added. The vegetables were a little sparse and so were all of the seasonings for the sauce. It was very tomato based.

Converse to that, the French fries are the BEST on the island. We got them plain and it was GREAT! The plain fries are seasoned.

The rosemary tomato jam topping has almost no rosemary in it, but is still tasty. Worth it for a dollar.

One interesting thing about the place is that you can order items from "beach market Cafe" while in BRGR. It's the same kitchen and seating area, however they do not advertise this or combine menus when you sit. The intention is that Beach Market Cafe is more "to go" food than sit down, but there are items you might want that are otherwise unavailable at BRGR. I actually got the "Grand Classic Sandwich" and although it looked like something frozen and gross, it was delicious. The bacon was even mostly crispy and I enjoyed every part of the cheddar, egg, and crossoint.

While here, three different people went to the front and waited for less than five minutes before leaving. There's no "seat yourself" sign or assigned greeter, so when the staff is busy in the back, someone might be waiting a few minutes before being greeted. The restaurant would probably benefit from adding a street side sign, a parking lot sign, and a camera and screen to monitor the front of house to know when everyone is in the back. Also if the menus were combined for the BRGR side.

Anyways, overall it was delicious and we'll be back for a burger and fries!

2nd visit: OH MY GOODNESS GET A BURGER!!! one of the BEST burgers I've ever had! Albeit, there should be a bib with the meal because of how messy and juicy it is.

We started with calamari, which is very worth it. The pickled peppers and black pepper were an excellent complement to the breading and calamari.

I got the Attitude Burger and added roasted peppers and caramelized onions. The caramelized red onions are so delicious that I'm going to add it to everything here. Perfection! Also they add the aioli to layers of fresh lettuce so that the bun doesn't get as soggy which is genius! The bacon had well done crunchy edges and tasted like it was slightly caramelized. I got truffle fries on the side, and the truffle fries were not as good as the regular French fry seasoning.

My fiance got an All American burger with fried onions, garlic aioli, horseradish mustard, gruyere cheese, provolone cheese, pickled peppers, and roasted peppers. and it was fire. The horseradish mustard really stood out and was a great compliment to the beef and everything else involved. I didn't taste the garlic aioli until afterwards. It was an excellent bite. The beer taste in the onion rings is very subtle and harder to identify, and the horseradish sauce covered up the beer flavor entirely. It didn't really do much for the onion rings. They were better by themselves than with that sauce.

I love this place and consider it ABSOLUTELY redeemed after the first visit....

Our family has been coming to the island for several years over spring break and we have our favorite eateries, but a side convo at the pool, we were told about a great burger place that we needed to check out. BRGR is a 5 minute walk from our current condo. BRGR did not disappoint!

Our group of 13 was easily accommodated by reserving the side room. Our server William was engaging and a great server! The food and service were top notch!

I got the Agave Lemonade, Nooner, French fries and key lime pie. Everything was so good! The lemonade was fresh and had a zip from the sparkling water. The burger was unbelievably good! It had to be cut in half to handle it all! The French fries were seasoned with salt/pepper.

Various family dishes: bruschetta, sliders, chicken tenders (kids), Mac & cheese (kids) The Attitude burger, Black & Bleu burger, Raspberry cheesecake, S’mores mousse and molten lava cake with ice cream.

When leaving, my nephew said, “If we eat here every night for the rest of vacation, I wouldn’t be mad about it!”

It’s not on the website, but there is a kid’s menu with lots of options. My 3 kids were very happy with their choices.

We will...

My wife and I were looking for a good gourmet burger on Sanibel and saw this pop up. It was literally a minute away from where we're staying so we figured "why not?". What a fantastic restaurant! The service was great (prompt, friendly, and attentive), the atmosphere was very nice (modern, clean, upscale), and then there was the food. We were both expecting good food, and this was way beyond that, into truly outstanding. Both burgers we got were next level, perfectly seasoned and cooked, piled with toppings, and juicy with flavor. We paired them both with the truffle fries which are standout great. There were several nice "extra touches" that stood out, such as all the bacon was perfectly crispy, and they de-seeded the fresh jalapenos I got in the side so you had heat but they didn't drown out the flavor. Easily the best burger I've had at a restaurant in at least 6 months, if not a year, and I don't say that lightly. What's more, it was surprisingly inexpensive compared to other places on the island, especially for what we got. Truly standout burgers, definitely try it if...
