I'm just a handy guy with a pregnant wife at home trying to get my ac to work properly while trying to scratch together and save our pennies since we cannot afford having a company come out and fix it. My condensor fan failed. Having years of working out on the island I know Sanibel Air sometimes has a pile of old/used/trashed units in their field. So I called them to ask for permission to salvage a motor from one of those units. Sierra answered and was very nice and directed me to the proper person to speak to which was July. I asked my question to July and she very sternly said "no" I asked "even though their just being thrown away? To be honest-" Before I can finish what I was saying I was cut off with "It doesn't matter, we don't do that" I understand Sanibel Air, or July, wouldn't want someone to get hurt in their field removing a motor out of one of their trashed units. That is the only reason I can think of because Id like to think it's not due to greed of wanting to sell me a brand new motor and having a tech come out and install it.
I called another local company, asked the same question and they let me finish talking. They said "sure, come in the morning so you're not alone out back, I don't mind if it's something thatll help you" Glad some people still have the Christian values this country...

re: Ive ran my unit at the same temp for 4 years and never had a problem. Had your company do a routine service on the unit and a couple months later I have a brown liquid dripping on my car. I called to have that checked on since your first tech had to wait for another tech to bring him a tool to complete the service call. The second tech never showed but 15 min later the job was "complete". So when I had a leak I was concerned. I was under the impression that it was a warranty call to check on the first service that was done. Your technician missed the Friday appointment and then showed up 2 hours late on Saturday. The "minor adjustment" was he leveled my already level bracket holding the handler then stuffed a cut up rag in the bracket holding the handler, which I got and cut for him. He then tried to charge me the "weekend" rate to which I had to inform him did not apply since the appointment was missed on Friday. So yes, you deserve a poor review for poor customer service. Ā Ā Ā Read morePast experience with this company has been very good. However, I purchased an AC system for $10,000+ 6 years ago; it stopped working; they came out to tell me it needed a new fan motor and they told me the equipment was not under warranty and would cost $1,000+ to replace. I complained about being sold a system with a 10-year warranty; so they checked and "discovered" that it WAS under warranty and then the replacement cost was reduced to $300+. I still got charged a service fee to come out and tell me that the system they sold me, which turned out to be under warranty, needed to be fixed. VERY, VERY disappointed and unhappy with how they go about their business. They are great if you sign a "blank check"; very good staff -- but they have a lot of work to do to actually "take care of the customer". They seem to be lazer-focused on how to get as much $$$ out of you as possible. If you want an upgrade in value, go visit...
