I've been a loyal customer of Taqueria Bandito since they opened up their food stand, and each visit continues to be an absolute delight for my taste buds! This hidden gem has consistently exceeded all my expectations for an authentic taco experience.
From the early days at the food stand to the charming restaurant they've become, the evolution is impressive, but what hasn't changed is the fantastic quality of their tacos. The staff has been welcoming since day one, adding a personal touch to every dining experience.
Now, let's talk about the stars of the show - the TACOS! 🌮 Each bite is a flavor explosion, and it's evident that the chefs at Taqueria Bandito take great pride in their craft. The variety of tacos on the menu caters to every palate, from classic carne asada to innovative and mouthwatering vegetarian options.
Special mention to their chicken tacos - they're hands down some of the best I've ever had! The perfectly seasoned and juicy chicken, combined with fresh toppings, created a delightful symphony of flavors. And don't even get me started on the Vampiro – it's become one of my absolute favorite items to order! The layers of flavor in this dish are simply unmatched.
From the humble food stand beginnings to the thriving restaurant, the consistency in quality and flavor remains unparalleled. The ingredients are fresh, and the attention to detail in the preparation is commendable. The salsa bar offers a delightful array of choices to enhance the flavors even more.
The service has been prompt and attentive without being intrusive since the beginning, and the prices remain reasonable for the outstanding quality and quantity of food provided.
If you're a taco aficionado or just someone looking for a memorable dining experience, Taqueria Bandito is a must-visit. I'll continue to be a dedicated customer, indulging in more of their delectable offerings. ¡Gracias, Taqueria Bandito, for the long-standing and unforgettable...
Read moreI have been going to Banditos Taqueria since they were a pop-up tent on Main St and Anahurst in Santa Ana. It was their iconic pink tortillas, that caught the attention of me and my friends. We tried them several times, each time the line being incredibly long, and what I assumed to be the Owners family hustling to make his dreams come true. I finally stopped by their first permanent restaurant in Downtown Santa Ana off N Broadway and W 5th St, very close to their starting roots. I expected nothing less in their quality and taste since transitioning to a more permanent location. I ordered 3 Queso tacos my first time; Chorizo, Asada, and Al Pastor. Tortillas were light and airy, and of course, their iconic pink color. The Carne asada had a deep rich flavor of mesquite and beautiful charring, the chorizo was not your typical Costco chorizo, but a nice quality chorizo, and of course the reason I stop by is the Al pastor, rotating on the trompo and a fat serving of avocado. I also ordered an Agua Fresca to wash it down, the Mango Pineapple Agua Fresca is refreshing without being overly sweet like some places do. I returned today and had an interaction with one of the owners, expressing my pride in their success. As a fellow young restaurant owner, there are so many challenges and nuances, not to mention self-doubt one deals with when starting up your first business. To be a young Latino men, they are defying even more challenges others would not have to think of, and I could not be more proud of them and their growth. I recommend stopping by, everything is delicious, I will be stopping by when I get the chance because the food is delicious. Parking can be found on Parking meters on the sides of the street or City parking is available...
Read moreWhere do I start honestly any place can say they have the best tacos in town and only few actually do but majority is just the hype people create on those places, big example Tacos Los Cholos very overrated place and if you dare to give your opinion on social media the owner will come and attack you in the comment section adding his friends and family specially if it’s related to food poisoning you got from eating at tacos Los cholos and I’m a big taco lover.
Bandito taqueria is a truly hidden gem I think don’t get enough recognition and love it truly deserves it no doubt, I had gone by myself or with my mother usually at opening let me tell you the employees are amazing they provide the greatest customer service super friendly there be times they had suggested my mom certain items she gets them and love it, hands down the best taqueria in DTSA meats are well season and cooked amount of meat you get on the tacos is 🤌🏻🔥 and add the avocado/guacamole if not wrong handmade tortillas and are pink colored, they also have Horchata Jamaica water besides sodas.
Please give this place a chance you won’t be disappointed not that expensive and worth the trip but plan accordingly DTSA gets busy and parking can be tricky specially cause 4th street is near by also really hope they will consider adding their tamales into their menu just like the sold at the Tamal Fest this month of December man or at least have them seasonal from September through...
