Del Taco — Restaurant in Santa Ana

I've been coming here since 2018 and its always been a welcoming atmosphere, the manager Rigo is really nice and I respect him a lot! Now the two star.....well I made a yelp account for this very reason to report some concerns about this place. I think it's going downhill. The food is great don't get me wrong but the awareness some of the workers here have in the evening from 5pm-10pm isn't the best. At 5:41pm on June 12, 2025 my order was taken by this worker named Daniel--from what I've seen he's pretty nice if a little talkative but he gets his job done-- now what concerned me was how he mentioned something about undressing a co-worker of his right in front of my face. Upon hearing this I was immediately disappointed and a bit let down.... I come here to eat and enjoy the company of the workers well working! To hear something like that being thrown around when I'm hungry is something I never want to hear again. Joke or not, Daniel I think you're reputation here-atleast to me- is tarnished. The food is great though just be wary of perverted workers that can't focus on their jobs for more than 5 minutes without a female being present. Food is great though, go del taco....I guess. I guess if Del Taco is reading this-- I come to this place to eat, not to hear some pervert make these comments about their fellow co-workers,...

10/2019 Update Gave this location another chance. Failed. Please see pics. Take your business 2 minutes down the street to Del Taco on Harbor. Look at the pics. The manager at this locations actually said, "Well that's just how we make tacos" when I legitimately complained because 1/2 of my taco had cheese but zero on the other half. But at Del Taco at 3329 Harbor, my tacos were fresh, meaty, proportionate and worth my money. They actually care about customer satisfaction. Now I know why the drive thru on Warner location is empty most of the day. 😂😂😂

Horrible!! My food is most often made wrong and I come here very often because I love Del Taco and this is the closest location to my house. Brayan at the front window could have cared less and with a sarcastic smirk on his face (Don't believe me? Check the cameras) proceeded to tell me that "This is just a job and everyone has other things to do outside of work. But he was telling me this "while" he was AT WORK, where I was a customer with a legitimate complaint. So I really don't know what his point was. Look at this food...horrible. I am a paying customer regularly though today January 4 2023 at approximately 3:30 pm I went through the drive through window and I purchased my usual and was asked by a Mexican man worker if I would like hot I said as I always say may I please have 20 mild hot sauce in which I always get and the employee made a comment of “what”,only 2 per item it’s extra” in a foul way so I said you want money here is 5$. I feel if a owner is willing to hire people like him who would be willing to lose a regular paying customer over some hot sauce. Then that is a bad business to go to because he made me feel unwelcome and that by me being a paying regular customer I and not wanted their and that by him being tight with the condiments that the condiments are more valuable than a paying customer.Beware of that employee.
