Del Taco — Restaurant in Santa Ana

It's more like 1/2 a star. We have been to this location a few times in the past two months because of its convenience. I'm not saying the food at Del Taco is terrible, but the employees and their attitudes are! My bf went there a few weeks ago. He wanted to dine in. He went inside the restaurant and at the moment the only cashier that was on duty (we guess) was counting $$. It took her about 10 minutes to count it. Three people were in line. My bf asked if only the dive thru was opened. Instead of the cashier saying, "I'm sorry for the wait, I'll b with you shortly" she told him, "you can drive around to the Drive Thru if you want" REALLY!? I went and ordered a carnitas "combo" burrito, because that only the burrito and nothing else, I ordered a drink and fries separately. The cashier was too busy chit chatting with her coworkers she only charged me for the fries. REALLY!? We went in for quick and easy breakfast, we order a #16 and a # 14. We got the #14 just fine, but instead of the #16 we got a #15. When we told the cashier the order was wrong, her answer was "I heard you say 15". Yeah, how about "oh I'm very sorry, my mistake I thought you said 15, I can change it for you". Instead, very confrontational, she opened the little side door and she mumbled something. My bf said "don't worry, we have to go". No I'm sorry no nothing instead she quickly shut the door as she mumbled something...

I have to change my review. I am afraid for the worse, not the better.

This has been my sort of home base Del Taco for the better part of seven years. It seemed fine, until the remodel.

I am not sure if it's the new staff, or what, but of the last five times there has always been a mess up in my order. At first, I thought maybe it was a fluke as their service was never an issue before. The last time I went, it struck a nerve.

I asked for two things, a medium ice tea, and a plain double burger, just cheese, meat, and bun. When we got to the window, they tried to hand me small drink, and after I explained I asked for a medium order, the staff checked with other staff. I overheard them say "Tell him to bad." The staff at the window however said he could charge me a medium instead. I relented and did that, which was an extra 2 dollar something.

I stayed quiet, I don't like to make people's lives harder, especially when it comes to retail or food service. I took my order, did a quick check on just the item amount, and went home.

When I got home, but my burger was not plain. It contained all the items I specifically asked not to have.

I really hope this changes. It's the easiest Del Taco to go to as it is extremely close to my house. And I've always liked going here. But at this point, I can't recommend any higher...

Hi I just want to say that I've never had a great experience like I did today especially with two workers working they were doing a great job trying to get the orders right and getting the customers out I Just want to praise them and say that you have great workers there I like going to this del Taco even though I live in Irvine I usually make my stop there when I have time I'm in business and I can't say that you have a great staff and I would like to tell the manager that you should give them some kind of praise because they did such a great job tonight I haven't been to the del Taco in a while but once again I just want to see you guys did an amazing job the two crewmen they were today at the del Taco they did an amazing job trying to get everybody's orders and just making the line go fast thank you I...
