Hands down 100% THE BEST TACO TRUCK in ALL of OC. Big Bold Statement here. This place is truly a hidden gem in OC!
I love tacos, I eat tacos about 2-3 times a week, so I definitely know a good truck from a bad truck. My favorite spots USED to be Rigoberto's Taqueria Truck and El Chavito Truck, but not anymore!
I'll say it again, this place is THE BEST TACO TRUCK IN ALL OF OC...here are some reasons why: -the tacos are only $1 -this truck is open until 3AM (thank the heavens for we have a solution for drunk munchies) -this is the ONLY taco truck in OC that has a rotating spit for the Al Pastor. THIS IS THE ONLY WAY THAT AL PASTOR TACOS SHOULD BE SERVED! -delicious salsa -freaking delicious tacos. Yah, I know what your thinking, tacos that normally go for $1 taste horrible. NOT HERE!
With 4.5 stars on yelp, this is definitely the spot to go to for Tacos.
Come early if possible, the line for this taco truck gets long! I'm talking Grand Opening of The Halal Guys Costa Mesa long! This truck is so insanely delicious that (last night) there was already a line already forming around the area where the truck would park! Crazy right!?? There was no truck present, but people were still willing to go early just to line up for first dibs! Still to this day, its still blows my mind. Its one for thing for people to wait in line early for a restaurant, but I haven't never heard of people lining up early for a food truck...especially a taco...
Read moreI've been going here for over 4 years. Quality still remains, price did go up over time. At this time when this review is written (11/2021), taco is 1.75. Actually, I wasn't correct to say qualify did not change over time - their el pastor did remain great but buche and lengua have gone down a little bit. Their quesadilla is thick, loaded with cheese and meat, top with onion if you desire - my all time favorite! They also have a variety of drinks, Mexican soda, horchata (I might have misspelled) are all good. Another awesome thing - their topping station: chopped onion and cilantro, lemon wedges, thin sliced radish, and 3 types of salsa always available, grab as much as you need!
I'm so glad they actually have a google address now so people can review and come to them without making a mistake and end up with one of the other copycat trucks.
They still don't have seatings, which makes it awesome as always - the night munches, sitting on the sidewalk, standing near your car, standing anywhere and eating tacos - the real "street food" lol - ...
Read moreTacos are smaller now and menu prices have gone up. Plus they charge 5% tax on when using credit cards. That typically averages out to $0.80 - $1.60. Business Owner doesnt have high overhead like a restaurant owner has for exampe, lease/ rent dues, advertising, wages etc... and they deem necessary to raise prices? The reason people eat at places like this is to save a little money since everything is so expensive such as fastfood restaurants taco bell, Carls Jr., Jack in the Box.. Ive been coming here since they opened and slowly started to notice the greediness in sweeping higher profits. Now these Food-on-Wheel trucks feel they can charge same price as restaurant owners when they dont even have half the overhead cost as they do. Sadly, This will be my last time eating here...
