DIN KY Vietnamese Restaurant — Restaurant in Santa Ana

Actually the most horrible experience I've had at ANY pho restaurant ever! The food was extremely average and the service was rude & lazy. None of the waiter/waitress' came in to check in with us at all after taking our order. To top it off, the waitress came to our table and didn't even ask what we wanted to order or say anything, and just stood there until we said we needed more time.. I had to come to the counter to pay since they were too lazy to do their job to come to our table. I asked them how much I needed to pay and they just said a price, no check or receipt given until I asked them for it. It was like they didn't know they were working and they just stood around looking at their phones. 💀 It's like they didnt know they existed... I have no idea how they have so many good reviews, must be their own employees who put them...

Never coming back here again. Felt generous that we even tipped 15%,...

Din Ky Restaurant Review: A Mixed Experience

Din Ky Restaurant offers a range of Vietnamese dishes with a mixed experiences.

The highlight of the menu, the "Hu tieu," stands out as the better option among the offerings. Its flavorful broth and well-cooked noodles elevate the dish to a satisfying level.

However, the "Pho Ap Chao" and "Mien xao hai san" leave much to be desired. While passable, they fall short of expectations, lacking the depth of flavor and texture one might hope for in such Vietnamese staples.

One notable downside is the long wait times to have food served and to pay with cashier observed at the restaurant, especially during peak hours, which can make the overall dining experience less enjoyable.

this hurts my heart because this spot has been our favorite late night spot for a while. :(

we were seated quickly but weren’t checked on for a while, even after ppl that arrived after us were atleast served waters to their table. we ordered all at once when the server finally got to us. they forgot my partners iced coffee and my water. he ordered an a2 and 23. they brought a soup with tendon and tripe in it, which he doesn’t eat that. he removed the tendon and tripe and ate regardless. after a few more bites he identified a long straight black hair in his soup 😢

he is bald.

the server never came back around to check on us for us to bring it up. he didn’t want to make a scene. we paid and left without finishing our food.

i’m so sad but we won’t...
