Do not eat here! I could not believe what I saw in the kitchen. The cook had a plate with rice and beans on it and put it in the microwave. I said to myself that better not be mine. The cook did this three different plates while I watched. Then it was my turn and sure enough he put a plate of rice and beans into the microwave. Rather than argue with the cook and ask for my money back I took it home and feed my dogs. I will never return. This is my local (to Irvine) alternative to Los Chilangos in Anaheim. In my opinion, this is the best place to go for chicken tacos - very flavorful! Their chips are really perfect; thin, light, crispy. Their salsa is very spicy, but still has such a good flavor that it's worth sweating over. I usually eat here once a week. I suggest calling in your order ahead of time. The only down side to this place is the amount of time it takes to get your food. Been here multiple times. Food is good but service is horrible. Took about 40 mins to get MY food. They decided it was ok to bring out my food only and not my wife’s. After about 10 minutes of waiting for my wife’s food and not touching mine I decided to get up and ask. They took another 5 minutes to bring them out.
