I had my wedding here back in May and everything was fine during the process of booking the venue which was a $2,800 deposit for 100 people on a Saturday. Everything was fine until the day of the event. When everyone arrived the dinner time was between 6pm-8pm. Now, a few days before the event I added about 15-20 people more as well as a request for some red/Mexican rice. On the day of the wedding, when we had already had about 80 people get their food we were informed that food was running very low only an hour in to the dinner time. This made us very upset because we did see that our guests would only get 3 small tacos with a small side of rice and beans. We were worried because not only were we missing a good amount of guests they also would not let us bring any outside food in. It was very upsetting because this was supposed to be food for more than 120 people and only about 105 actually came. When we confronted the older gentleman that was in charge of this he said that we were missing food for the guests that haven't arrived yet because some people came back for seconds. Food is the one thing we had stressed that we did not want to be missing as it is a symbol of abundance for the couple getting married. I decided to just let my MOH try to figure this out because it was something that made me feel horrible as well as our guests that had been with us for hours before for our ceremony. My husband and I would have been happy to pay more money to have more food but I didn't think that they would limit everyone to only 3 tacos for the night. During our tasting they said that they would have more food than what the designated number of guests was to make sure this didn't happen. The solution they offered was frijoles de olla for the guests that didn't make it to the dinner in time to get tacos and rice. Security was fine, didn't have anything super crazy happen so it was pretty calm. Bartender was great and took care of all of our guests as well as my husband and I. The location itself is wonderful and has a charm that I really loved. Servers were great as well and kept us informed about the time to make sure we did our toast and cut the cake at a good time. Office staff was great as well, so thank you very much Hector and everyone else. Payment was easy to make as well. I am just a bit upset as I would have liked to have changed the food situation. It was just very embarrassing to get the feedback that many people did not make it to the food and that it seemed like we were skipping out on that. Again, it was disappointing after conversing with Sammy and getting to taste his food at his restaurant which we really enjoyed...
Read moreThe food and wait staff were very good. However, the experience started poorly. There was no parking. A security guard directed us to a remote lot, which was also full. If you want to save yourself a headache, Bower's Museum across the street lets you park there for $6.99. Just head there first before you get frustrated.
Check-in was a joke. Regardless of whether you have reservations or not, everyone stands in a long line and waits. There were two in our party. There was a table for two available, but the hostess wouldn't let us sit there. She said it was reserved. We told her we had reservations, that we weren't a walk-in, but she still wouldn't seat us. She said we had to wait for this other particular table, where people had just started eating. Meanwhile, the entire long line of parties were seated before us and twenty minutes past our reservation time we were still standing there. She still maintained that we couldn't sit at the available table for two. We asked if we could sit at this other table, a table for 8 people. She let us sit there. It made no sense. When we left an hour later, that table for two had still never been seated. They really need to improve that whole process. They should have separate check-ins for reservations and walk-ins. They should also encourage lateral thinking for their host staff.
If you can get past the bad first impressions of no parking and poor host/seating process, this is an enjoyable experience. We agreed that if we ever go again, we will go to the first seating. That's at 9:30. Second...
Read moreDO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY. I never write reviews but this place was such a waste of money it still angers me to this day that they managed to get that much money out of me and my family, and they can't be bothered to provide REAL PLATES AND SILVERWARE.
For the low low price of 32 DOLLARS PER PERSON PLUS TAX, be prepared for plastic forks and paper plates to serve your cold food on!!!! Even 15 dollar buffets give you actual plates and utensils, come on now! That's just embarrassing.
Cold food, parking sucks, long lines in the dining room to even make a plate, could barely get water for our table, people crowding you while you're trying to eat, did I mention it is CROWDED? One of my biggest regrets was eating here, please heed my word.
Place is gorgeous but small, and mariachi was good so the vibes were nice, but if you're looking for GOOD FOOD and dont wanna wait in cramped lines, avoid this place. This was a birthday brunch surprise for someone special and it was a disappointment and just humiliating to bring my parents here.
For the people who rated 5 stars, I say this with all the love in the world, please raise your standards!! There are better places to eat and spend your money at, I promise you.
A girl on tiktok made this place look really good when in reality, you're gonna get hit with a fat bill for a mediocre meal in a pretty garden. Book at...
