2 different orders in our car. We rode together to get food but this McDonald's wouldn't allow us to use two separate coupon codes for our two orders. Because of the time of night we went we couldn't go inside and one of us wasn't able to get out and walk through the drive through.
I think it's pretty sad that there exists coupons on their own app and they come up with a policy of not accepting two coupons from one car.
The whole reason we decided to go down to McDonald's was to each utilize the great offer we found on our apps in our own phones.
Further disappointed in the weird policy or no fish fillets after midnight or whatever time we were told. Strike two for the night but not something that would have been that bad had it only been the strange fish laws after dark.
Last strange, and frustrating point was to be told that due to the lock down and curfew of the breaded fish the tartar sauce too was locked up tight. Until the arrival of the special key holder of the fish and tartapr sauce's quarantine room was there to unlock the door letting the obviously infamously treacherous duo out into the yard, we were, for our own protection and safety unable to have tartar sauce released into our custody.
A possible idea would be to not have an app that provides discounts if you are simply using it as a bait and switch marketing tactic. If it's just set up to motivate our lazy glutinous selves to decline the lazyboy, put some clothes on, maybe shoes this time foregoing the quick slip of the flip flops, to actually get up to the front door, and show up, not to actually thank us as your clients, the only reason you have a business in the first place, then I say thank you. Thank you franchisee, for taking it upon yourself to activate us scared Americans held in solitary confinement, ease our covically frozen selves back into society, exercising again, even if just for a brief moment in time, but nonetheless exercising with our lifting of our gelatinous extremities in the many circuit exercises occurring from our getting up onto our feet, turning the television off, getting dressed, walking inside our fortresses formally referred to as our dwellings or homes, opening our front doors, garage doors, car or Uber doors, driving to your location, rolling down our windows, tapping our steering wheels, grabbing our bags of food, and then repeating the process all the way back. But not just that, I applaud your obvious move with this marketing bait and switch to attempt to get our isolated, mentally deteriorating minds, emotionally depleting hearts back into the world to experience once again the joys of human interaction, that healing human touch, well at least the resemblance of such as we learn to be human following new directional arrows we must follow like road signs moved Inside, keeping that very natural human 6 foot bubble of total safety around us.
In fact, now that I think about it, I'm more aware now that what I interpreted as rude, mean and ill spirited move, you actually as I can see, were acting in positiveness rather something so selfish.
I do pray that you find sooner than later what issues can be resolved so as you may see yourself setting free, releasing the fish and tartar sauce from their nightly condiment so as many others might come to find and love their golden crispy...
Read moreIt's 11:14 pm and I get the willy for a filet o' fish sandwich from McDonalds.. I know they stop serving fish at midnight so I open my McDonald's app and I start an order. It was quick and simple. I had saved 6000 points so I redeemed enough to buy the sandwich and iI continued to save the balance of around 1099 points for another day. I ordered a milkshake. Thinking about the 12AM fish filet cutoff time at the 24 hour location on.Grand Ave, I elected to pickup my order and posted payment using GPay. The restaurant is about 2 miles and/or 4-6 minutes from my home. When I arrived, I was at the back of a 12 car drive thru line inching toward the window. When I finally got to the speaker, I announced that I was picking up an order and i started to recite the ticket² number when the cashier? Interrupted me by saying the only orders accepted at the time were for Uber or door dash deliveries. I told the crew member I'd already paid and followed instructions to head to the restaurant. My pleading fell on deaf ears. Its ok that you paid. You'll get a refund. I left the drive thru and pulled into a stall so I could try to figure out what I needed to do to change the order to another store or to simply change pickup to delivery with the idea of meeting the driver in front of my residence. A 99 can't delivery fee and a tip sounded ok after about 20 minutes of trying. Nothing worked and now, my once deliverable address was no longer. I was annoyed to say the least and I'm still waiting for the refund of money AND reward points but that isn't the biggest impression left upon me. While I was there, in that stall for 28 minutes at 3am, I watched 2 delivery drivers work the process and 17 vehicles, with hungry, paying and reasonably frustrated customers get turned away. All I could think was "how stupid is this!" McDonalds has had the strongest long-standing reputation in fast food since before I was born and the clown and I are the same age. McDonald is also in their industry, one of the most uniformed, steady and traditional operations that seemed almost resistant to change. Late in the game to change the menu except for downsizing portions Instead of raising already premium pricing, McDonalds introduced coupon books at Halloween at a time when product tampering really had parents attention and got on board with gift card during the Holidays but only in very recent years did they get their APP out there and offer perks and incentives. . I'm disappointed. I thought bench-warming was a strategy to see how the competition fared before investing time and money in major changes. I'm thinking I was wrong. If this is some kind of test widescale, it's more money than I'd ever be ok with losing and to not think ahead above a heads up to the folks willing to go out at 3am on the day after Christmas and pay full menu price instead of Uber's ridiculous up-charges service fees and crazy 45% suggested tips. Why did all the fast food places stop selling fish sandwiches? Wouldn't have hurt so much if I had an alternative. One star for...
Read moreFor a McDonald's it was your regular run-of-the-mill McDonald's fast-food joint nothing stood out as amazing nothing stood out as horrible (unless you count the poisonous fast food that they feed us, trying to pass off as food. If ants won't even eat it, I don't think you can classify that as food. Butt that is a different discussion entirely.) The only reason I go there is for the $1 Fountain drinks, a great deal compared to other fast food places that charge anywhere from $2.50 up to $5. Also there's soft serve ice cream is amazing and there's no dairy in it whatsoever it's a soy product it is always been a soy product that's nothing new they did it for lasting perishability and to keep cost down but it worked out to be an amazing form of ice cream I think. A little disappointed that they raise the price from $0.99 up to $1.50, that's inflation I guess. The other thing I'm very disappointed in is their parfait used to be an amazing treat I understand it wasn't very healthy but what is healthy at McDonald's so they put Greek yogurt instead of regular yogurt now I think it tastes horrible I wish they would leave it up to you to choose I know that be difficult but it would make a lot of people happy especially me. Both of those things have nothing to do with the specific location that's corporate, which does not aspects my rating on...
