Sonic Drive-In — Restaurant in Santa Ana

Sonic has a wide variety of food selection from Burgers, Tacos, hot dogs, to teriyaki chicken wings, really good desserts, great slushes, & many more great food & dessert choices. This specific Sonic is a great location close to the 405 7355 freeway parking lot is somewhat small but it's great that they have a drive-thru & the dine in your car hop. So the wait is never too long. They have a decent happy hour with half-price slushes that's really great and half price I think corn dogs is the only food choice for happy hour it goes from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday I'm not sure about the weekend. And their late night happy hour goes from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. it's half-price any shakes/ any size, & I believe there are other desserts options that are half-price as well, although I'm not positive. The staffs is usually really friendly. Although I would it would be nice if the staff would be better informed on their menu & dessert flavors, combinations, a special slushi flav/mix, or staff secret dessert. (things like that really make the customer feel special, & helps to make an occasional customer into a regular). When I asked 3 different staff members what their favorite dessert was every one of them told me pretty much the same thing "I don't know, I like them all/they're all pretty good" was the reply I received as an answer. When I asked one staff member what their favorite slush flavor was, & I am looking for one that is not too sicking sweet? She replied "I don't drink Slush's, I don't care for them", so I ordered the vanilla flavor, she said "allot of people order that". I was thinking it would be similar to cream soda. It was very sickening sweet, I'm unsure if they put too much flavor in it (I hope so, I would like to give it one more try) or if it always tastes like that. Due to that reason, I did not care for it, about as sweet as a melted otter pop (if they had a cream soda flavor). Usually I have been ordering the orange slush which is a very great flavor on a hot day. During happy hour I'll get a couple corn dogs with your pretty good, if it's not happy hour I'll get the Chicago hot dog which I really enjoy. Tuesday's half-price cheeseburgers. The other thing I've been enjoying lately are there sliders they had two different types I prefer the classic burger but they're both very tasty & a good deal...

UberEats Drivers: DO NOT ACCEPT ORDERS FROM HERE!

Tldr; Do not listen to their instructions. Do not wait in stall and make sure you go with drive thru.

Their instructions for pick up explicitly states to wait in a stall and NOT to enter restaurant or use drive-thru.

I waited in my stall for over 10 minutes. Clicking the button did not work, i tried calling them and their mailbox is full.

Of course, at that point I got in trouble with my customer. I went to drive thru because at that point I had nothing to lose. I just mentioned that im uber eats and Without any hesitation the server says they will bring out the order right out.

In other words, I waited for over 10 minutes and lost on my customer review for nothing.

Please note that there were two other cars waiting in stalls like me. When I gave up and went to drive thru, they followed me to drive thru as well. Basically, no one was checking the stalls.

Not only it is inconsistent with their instructions. As a customer it is already frustrating enough when your order is wrong

But what do you call when you’re harming your fellow workers? It is already challenging enough when I’m making minimum wage or less with UberEats, let alone buisness like this Sonic standing in the way of me earning solely due to negligence. yeah, that’s a different level...

I don’t even want to give a 1 star. Ordered food at 11:45 for me and my todddler ( hamburger combo with tots and soda, 2 corn dogs, small tot and small tea). When I pulled in I was the 4th car parked. No one was in drive thru. At about 45 min mark, still no food. Car hop lady was taking orders to other cars after me and drive thru was rolling smooth. I saw her and asked when is my order coming since it had been 45 min. She said we are trying to small orders right now. WRONG ANSWER. I’ve been in the food business, it’s first come first serve. Second— my order is not a big order. Simple easy order. Another 10 mins rolls by and I see other cars not happy either. I pull my car in line for drive thru since they seem to be getting helped first. When I pulled up, she said oh you were in a stall and I said yes now it’s been one hour since I ordered. Another 10 mins go by I get my order and I asked for refund. She said I can give you one but I need the food back. Oh hell no! I left with my food. Come to find out the order is not even complete. Missing the two corn dogs. I called them up and told them and demanded a refund. She said you can come back and get the corndogs. I said no give me a refund.

Ordered at 1145am. Food given to me 1:02pm. There is no excuse...
