WaBa Grill — Restaurant in Santa Ana

Wow, Waba Grill! Arrived at 10 A.M. to meet-up with someone. Very clean outside and inside upon entry. Outside eating area was clean, as in all tables and seats were clean. Inside seating, tables, soda bar, and order counter were clean. Clean!

Staff was very friendly, all while busy prepping for the lunch crowd.

I ordered a steak soft taco (yes, at 10 A.M. 😉). Excellent, even better at 10 A.M. 😎

The Waba soda bar deserves a round of applause. Nice to see flavors not found at other restaurants (or 7-11).

(And here is a 'dig' at McDonald's. There is a move in their chain ... removing ... the dine-in soda bar. That was a benefit of dining in, now being stripped away by a zillion-dollar glutton.)

One more thing, in the background they are playing Michael Jackson's "Beat It" which just makes this outing at Waba Grill more fun.

Went here for dinner today, ordered 2 chicken veggie bowls. They had me wait there as three customers went in front of me. When I asked what was going on with my food. They responded that that vegetables were not cooked yet. Waited there some more when a man ordered 6 chicken bowls and received them before me. When I stood up and asked what was taking so long, the cashiers response was that they were waiting on the meat. This was highly disrespectful cause they had just served 6 chicken bowls before me. They finally give me my order and I arrive home to find out that the rice was under cooked and hard, the vegetables that I waited on were under cooked and nearly raw, and the chicken must of died of old age cause it was dry and old. Never going here again and I advise no...

I can't believe how incompetent the employees at this wabba grill are. No Manager in site. Cashier had someone on the phone guiding her with the register. I tried to understand and not give the cashier any hard time. On the contrary but at the moment of receiving my order the cashier and cooks gave me an incorrect order and when I tried to raise that issue they got upset at me, cashier walked away and the cook asked if I had even paid so I showed her my receipt. I ordered a plantspired steak salad and got a steak platter with a simple salad that didnt even have any dressing. It's so frustrating that they were not able to correct my order.
