Whata Lotta Pizza — Restaurant in Santa Ana

This love story started so beautifully, as all pizza stories do. But, alas, the manager Javier at this location ruined it all. Here's what happened: Picture, if you will, family and friends hanging out on a Friday - everyone in their after-work, after-school happy place. My pregnant sister was craving pastrami but it is family movie night (and pizza is a must have) so we looked online for pastrami pizza. We were over the moon when we called Whata Lotta Pizza and they could deliver this magical pizza!! The pizza arrived SUPER quick, and devoured even quicker! So, we called to order 2 more pizzas! ...that's when this blissful story turned to the dark side.

The manager Javier tells us that we are "outside of the delivery zone" even though they JUST delivered to us not 10 minutes prior. His response: "we did you a favor Sweetheart."

There are so many things wrong with this. 1. If we were outside the delivery zone, they should've told us to begin with. 2. No one advised us that a "favor" was at play - we thought we were in the middle of a typical pizza transaction. 3. In my family, the word "Sweetheart" is a term of endearment, not a condescending insult. 4. People, especially customers, should be treated with respect. It's called Service. Further, no one should treat others in this manner, no matter how bad your day is going or what's wrong with your personal life.

In the end, the manager agreed to deliver the pizza to the Taco Bell across the street from our home, so we would be "inside the zone." So we walked across the street - because despite grumpy manager Javier's disrespectful attitude, no one wants an unhappy and hungry pregnant lady.

Unfortunately, this will be the first and last time we order from this place. We prefer to spend our money at places where service is at the heart of their business. On a side note: our driver was phenomenal!! For the record, he's the one...

Poor customer service. Didn’t say no substitutions online when making order. Manager called after I had ordered and told me that they wouldn’t substitute the onions for mushrooms and if I didn’t like that then I could try to cancel the order, which it wouldn’t let me. I put that I was allergic to onions and they put onions on the salad. Pizza not that great. Similar to little Caesars but more expensive. Wasn’t pleased at all with this place. And they give you a little cup of ranch fit this large salad. I asked for extra ranch dressing but since I didn’t order it correctly I was given a post it note saying I needed to order it a different way but instead of calling me they just left a post it note. I met Havier a while back. As i seen the store changed ownership there is many new things and old they kept in meet and exceed customer satisfaction. 1- people and mgr is very friendly. 2-great portion sizes 3-great whole food salad. 4- it always at least from a walk in perspective the place is clean the windows are polished and the kitchen looks neat and organized. i feel confident in my meal whether i eat the pizza or salad there on the bench or to take out. simply all otta pi z z a. thank you for ur food through the years and service that warms my stomach in more ways than u know. ...
