Live Oak Cafe — Restaurant in Santa Barbara

This is a nice restaurant. I went here for dinner and was satisfied with my experience. I walked into this restaurant and saw that there’s an area where you can buy some fruit, desserts, and fresh goods. The cashier there told me that I could seat myself wherever I wanted my. I sat myself at a booth and a waitress came up to me to ask me what I wanted. I ordered a lemonade with no ice and the BBQ Chicken Quesadilla, which is a quesadilla with chicken and BBQ sauce inside. The lemonade tasted pretty good, as did the BBQ Chicken Quesadilla. The quesadilla came in four big slices, so I got some of it to go because I didn’t finish it all. I've been for breakfast and lunch. There is a waiter that is fabulous--all of the wait staff is great but he is particularly sharp and accommodating. I have used my Axxess card (but tip on full amount). The breakfasts are great. Three of us went and all ordered different items and tried each other's food. I'd order any of it again. The French toast is excellent. I've had their veggie sandwich and it was excellent. The atmosphere is calm and charming with booths on one side and an indoor patio on the other. All bird lovers have got to see their aviary attached to the porch. It rained while we were there and you could hear it hitting the tin roof. Love to support local places like this. This place is part of the Best Western and I wager gets most of their business from motel guests. It's a "Cali-style greasy spoon" [serving greasy spoon food at twice the price where you add avocado for an extra $2]. We came for brunch on a Sunday since Granda lives nearby. It took almost an hour to get our food. The food was ok. People like bacon & they do serve it here. I had granola with yogurt that were both very, very, very dry. The 5 berries and quarter apple served on top didn't have the moisture to compensate for the dryness. (I've also been here once for lunch about 6 months ago.)
